On June 30, D23 members will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek at the Aulani Disney Vacation Club Villas in Ko Olina, Hawaii at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim from 7 – 9 pm. Tickets, which will be available on June 23, are free but carry a $5 processing fee charge.
In an event fitting only for a spectacle such as the new World of Color at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland pulled out all the stops, inviting celebrities, media and lucky members of the viewing public to dine at a visual feast. On the scene to report for us was Kelly Noble, a first-time contributor for Stitch Kingdom.
A-Listers such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy came out to show their support along with their contemporaries which included comedic actor Jason Segel (who write and starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and is currently doing the same for The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever),Twilight star Peter Facinelli, Vanessa Hudgens, the kids from ABC’s Modern Family (along with Rico’s sister, actress Raini Rodriguez), Jamie Lee Curtis, John Stamos, Wayne Brady, Jodi Benson (known for being the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid and Barbie in Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3), Geena Davis and Teri Hatcher, just to name but a few. Even former Bachelor Jake Pavelka walked the blue carpet with Vienna Girardi in tow.
Disney legends and celebrities strolled the great blue way too. On hand to celebrate was prolific composer and Disney legend Richard Sherman, Disney CEO and President Robert Iger and Disney Parks and Resorts President Tom Staggs.
After the jump is our extensive photo gallery of the preparation of the event as well as the blue carpet experience. We do recommend you use the PicLens link to view it as a complete slideshow, but feel free to browse the photos individually
Yesterday, the official Vinylmation blog offered a tease in the way of a photo of a portion of what is unquestionably a vinylmation figure (left). Also unquestionable is the airbrushed artistic flair of a Disney artist I’ve come to know and love ever since we met at the D23 Expo, Noah.
We reached out to Noah, who is also the resident artist of Disneyland’s D Street, for a comment but he was feeling a bit coy and wouldn’t quite give up the goods. He did, however, eventually tweet out this cryptic message along with a photo (right) which suspiciously looks like the front of a giant painted Mickey Mouse form. In fact, we even spotted what looks like it could very well be Noah’s signature right where Mickey’s nose would be.
More than 500 guests of all ages at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon at the Walt Disney World Resort joined more than 10,000 participants on four continents for the record-breaking World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on June 3.
Participants at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon also received a free DVD, Disney’s Wild About Safety with Timon and Pumbaa: Safety Smart in the Water. In the DVD, Timon and Pumbaa help children learn that fun in the water starts with safety.
Three-time Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines joined Mickey Mouse and Goofy just outside the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool for the official start to the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson.

Courtesy of Disney/Pixar comes this brand new set of 20 new stills from Toy Story 3. The series of images features Andy as he’s forced to make a decision as to the fate of his beloved toys and their introduction to Sunnyside Daycare (with a little additional chaos thrown in for fun).
The images are presented here in the order they were uploaded so any chronological order that may or may not appear is purely coincidental. To view any image, click on its thumbnail. Gwendolyn Carlisle loves fairies, perhaps too much. On her birthday, she receives the precious “kiss” necklace, which has been passed down from mother to daughter ever since Peter Pan gave it to Wendy Darling. That night, Gwendolyn has her first tantalizing vision of Fairy Haven.
More than anything, Gwendolyn wishes she could be there. At last, Peter Pan comes for her. The instant they reach Never Land, she sets out to find fairies. But the fairies are not eager to meet her.
