Below is a compiled list of some of the Halloween activities taking place at various resorts at Walt Disney World this Saturday, October 31. All information is subject to change at any time so please confirm with the resort for any activities you are interested in.
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Oct. 26 — The 2010 schedule for Disney Institute open enrollment programs is now available at www.disneyinstitute.com. Located under the Web site’s “Events” tab, the extended calendar offers increased flexibility for professionals who want to book training through the end of the coming year.
Open-enrollment programs include three- and five-day programs available at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and a series of one-day programs offered at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. One- and three-day programs are dedicated to specific topics such as quality service, leadership excellence, people management, brand loyalty, and inspiring creativity. The five-day programs dedicate a day to each of the five core Disney Institute curricula.
On November 13, they’ll be at Once Upon a Toy located at Downtown Disney’s Marketplace from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm; on November 14, they’ll be in the Magic Kingdom at the Main Street Gallery on Main Street, USA from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. There will also be an early appearance on Saturday by Ridley Pearson only from 9 am – 10 am at the Main Street Gallery.

Walt Disney World is now accepting general requests to attend the taping of the 2009 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. As expected, taping will take place during the first weekend of December, but this year, taping will also occur on the Thursday before, making the taping a total of three days, December 3 – 5. Thursday and Friday will consist of performance tapings at Cinderella Castle and in the Main Street USA area while Saturday will be the parade itself (which may also contain additional performances at select locations along the parade route). Guests may opt to choose 1, 2 or all 3 days at time of registration.
The Studios Animation Gallery at the Walt Disney World® Resort is pleased to present the newest edition in the Disney Theme Park Exclusive Ink & Paint Cel Collection, Fantasmic! Featuring the heroic Mickey Mouse and the “Mistress of Evil,” Maleficent, the sinister villain from Walt Disney’s Animated Classic, Sleeping Beauty.
Fantasmic! is a limited edition, hand-painted cel with an edition size of only 1500 pieces.
The launch event will take place December 12, 2009 at the Animation Gallery at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and will feature Disney Design Group artist Costa Alavezos and Ink and Paint Artists James Bonserio, Erin Magill, Theodora M. DeLaney, David Rippberger, Lynn Rippberger and Sharon K.Vincent.
Mickey Mouse will visit Union Station in Kansas City (Walt Disney’s hometown) from 10 am – 12 pm on October 10 to celebrate the unveiling of a traveling art exhibit that pays homage to Walt Disney’s lifelong love of trains and introduces the latest train conducted by Mickey himself, Mickey’s Magic Choo Choo toy train, releasing in time for the holidays. Local preschoolers along with representatives from the Kansas City Mayor’s office and hundreds of fans will see Mickey before he departs from Union Station bound for Los Angeles for a viewing party for the premier of the Disney Channel primetime special, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Choo Choo Express airing Sunday October 25th. The most enchanting event this holiday season just got even more magical. Not only do moviegoers have an opportunity to see Disney’s The Princess and the Frog in New York City and the Los Angeles area before the rest of the country as well as live out the Ultimate Disney Experience as we mentioned here, but now those planning on taking advantage of this special event can buy tickets online for a 30% discount.
General admission tickets which are normally $30 can be purchased exclusively at Facebook page for The Princess and the Frog for just $21 each for both the movie before its theatrical release in a unique environment along with the Ultimate Disney Experience.
