Dooney & Bourke 'Retro' Collection Exclusively at Disneyland ResortDooney & Bourke Creative Director Ian Ray will be on hand at Disney Vault 28 in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort to unveil the company’s newest collections on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 2 pm – 5 pm PT.

The Retro collection will be exclusive to the Disneyland Resort and will be available in a variety of popular silhouettes including a wristlet, mini barrel, tassel tote, satchel, letter carrier as well as an iPad case. Prices range from $78 – $268.

Recognizing more than five decades of entertainment they have brought to the world, the Muppets were the latest to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of Disney’s El Capitan Theatre yesterday.

The celebration was emceed by Chamber President and CEO Leron Gubler, with special guest speakers Rich Ross, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios and Lisa Henson, CEO, The Jim Henson Company. Several Muppets were on hand to receive the star including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, Pepe, Sweetums, and Walter, the newest Muppet, who made his debut in Disney’s 2011 film. The Muppets’ star is the 2,466th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bella Thorne, Zendaya to Meet and Greet with Fans at Disneyland Resort

'Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance'In honor of the release of ‘Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance’ soundtrack, featuring music from the hit Disney Channel show, ‘Shake It Up,’ stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya will be offering the opportunity for fans to attend a signing being held at Studio Disney 365 in the Downtown Disney District of the Disneyland Resort  on March 24.

The event will being at noon at which point Bella and Zendaya will participate in a Q&A session moderated by Radio Disney’s own Jake Whetter. The signing portion will take place beginning at 1 pm.

Disney D23 Expo 2013 to be held August 9-11 in Anaheim; Tickets Available August 9

The largest gathering of Disney fans outside of a Disney Park will return to Anaheim, California next summer as Disney D23 announces it will hold its 2013 Disney D23 convention once more at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 9 through August 11, 2013.

‘The D23 Expo has become a phenomenal way for Disney fans to see everything they love about Disney all in one place –- from Disney’s biggest stars and latest innovations to unforgettable performances live on stage,’ said Steven Clark, head of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, which produces the bi-annual D23 Expo. ‘Our third Expo is sure to create even more magical new experiences and memories for our biggest fans attending from throughout the U.S. and around the globe.’

Disney lovers are invited to celebrate with Disney D23, the official fan club of The Walt Disney Company, this summer as it brings its annual anniversary event to Disney fans in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Chicago and Walt Disney World (Orlando).

Each event promises to lead guests on a journey through dozens of unforgettable Disney moments that have delighted generations of Disney fans. Each show will be hosted by a Disney archivist and D23 team member and will highlight the rich behind-the-scenes stories of these magical moments through rarely (or never-before) seen film footage, concept art, photography, and exclusive interviews with many of your favorite Disney Legends and luminaries.

Not a dry eye was in the house, as Miss Piggy — dressed by Zac Posen with shoes by Christian Louboutin, jewelry by Fred Leighton and hair by Kim Kimble — and long-time partner Kermit the Frog took to the red carpet at the 84th Annual Academy Awards held this evening where they will be presenting, marking the fifth appearance by the Muppets on the telecast. The Muppets was nominated and won for a ‘Best Song’ for ‘Man or Muppet’ written by Bret McKenzie.

Disneyland Details ‘SIGNin’ in the Street’ Event (Schedule and Opportunities)

On March 17 and March 18, the Disneyland Resort and ABC Family unite to create a street fair to ‘embrace the social, technological and artistic accomplishments of world-renowned Deaf talent and local community organizations.’

Among the talent scheduled to appear are mixed martial artist Matt Hamill, Marlee Matlin and Sean Berdy from ABC Family’s ‘Switched at Birth,’ Sesame Street’s Linda Bove, artist Mary Rappazzo and other deaf entertainers as well as Disney cast members.
