'Big Hero 6' Pop! Vinyl from FunkoOur friends at Entertainment Earth have graciously informed us that they are now accepting pre-orders for the fabulous Big Hero 6 series of POP! Vinyl collectibles from Funko. The series consists of GoGo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi (No-Ginger), Fred and — of course — Hiro. Also being released are extra large 6″ versions of Baymax in both mech and a special ‘pearlescent’ nurse version. Most of the figures are set to be released in October with the pearlescent Baymax in November/December.

Meet Uku, the star of Pixar’s newest short, Lava, a love story millions of years in the making. Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us this amazing first look at one of the 7 minute, 9 second short’s main leads, Uku (voiced by Kuana Torres Kahele — also the short’s narrator). Uku’s better half, Lele is voiced by Napua Greig.

Disney’s ‘Feast’ First Images in High Resolution

Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with high resolution versions of two recently released stills from Patrick Osborne’s short, Feast, which will play before Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014).

Feast, a new short from first-time director Patrick Osborne (head of animation for Paperman) and Walt Disney Animation Studios, is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.

FIRST LOOK: Paul Rudd in Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’ (Hi-Res)

The film has just begun filming in San Francisco, as indicated by the image sent to us.

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’ Begins Production in San Francisco

Marvel's 'Ant-Man'Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California, on its newest Super Hero franchise Marvel’s Ant-Man. The film brings one of Marvel comics’ original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The production also shoots on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production.

Set for release in the United States on July 17, 2015, the film is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man; Michael Douglas as his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym; and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym.

‘The Story of Frozen: Making An Animated Classic’ ABC Special Premieres September 2

(ABC/Ron Tom) JENNIFER LEE, CHRIS BUCKABC has announced it will air an hour-long special titled ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic’ which will premiere on the ABC television network on September 2, 2014 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. The special promises to share the behind-the-scenes secrets in producing Frozen, the biggest animated film of all time. Viewers will get a rare look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios and unprecedented access to the creative team that brought Frozen to life. Throughout the one-hour special, the audience will hear from Frozen stars Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, the directors, songwriters, producer and artists and chief creative officer John Lasseter — the team who dreamed of making a cherished Hans Christian Andersen story into a big screen animated musical.  Viewers will take a journey to the beautiful Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the look of Arendelle — the fictional kingdom — and see images and footage from the research trips to Norway, Quebec and points beyond that helped create the film’s unforgettable look and feel.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph, comes Big Hero 6, an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax (voice of Scott Adsit), a plus-sized inflatable robot,and prodigy Hiro Hamada (voice of Ryan Potter). When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago (voice of Jamie Chung), neatnik Wasabi (voice of Damon Wayans Jr.), chemistry whiz Honey Lemon (voice of Genesis Rodriguez) and fanboy Fred (voice of T.J. Miller). Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called Big Hero 6.
