'D' Trademark for Audio/Video ServicesPictured here is the illustration used in several recently filed trademark applications filed by The Walt Disney Company. Just from the looks of it, three things are very clear: (1) it prominently features the Disney ‘D’ logo; (2) it contains a portion of what appears to be a filmstrip; and (3) the shape and outline of the illustration strongly suggests a mobile app, be it iOS, Android or both.

Idina Menzel to Perform ‘Let It Go’ on Oscars Telecast

Tony Award®-winning singer, songwriter and actress Idina Menzel will, for the first time, perform the Oscar®-nominated song ‘Let it Go’ for a global television audience at the Oscars®, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today. The Oscars, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will air on Sunday, March 2, live on ABC.

‘Let it Go,’ written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for Frozen, is nominated for Original Song. The three other nominated songs are ‘Happy’ from Despicable Me 2, ‘Ordinary Love’ from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and ‘The Moon Song’ from Her.

PHOTOS: Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Strikes Gold with Star-Studded Performance

On January 14, 2014, the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen, as well as the single ‘Let It Go,’ were recognized by the RIAA as being certified gold (selling more than 500,000 physical copies). To commemorate the event as well as the success of the film and the album in general, Disney held a private showcase event last night the Vibrato Grill Jazz Club in Los Angeles.

‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Early Screening, Bret McKenzie Sing-A-Long in New York

'Muppets Most Wanted' PosterTickets went on sale earlier this evening for the annual New York International Children’s Film Festival in New York City today and, continuing their gracious participation, Disney is allowing the festival to screen Muppets Most Wanted on March 15, almost a full week before it debuts in theaters. In addition to the early screening of the sequel, the festival is offering a screening of the previous 2011 film, The Muppets, but as a special sing-along edition with guest Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords, who wrote the songs for both films.

Sneak Peek: Disney ‘Frozen’ Sing-A-Long Edition (Hi-Res Poster)

Disney 'Frozen' Sing-A-Long EditionWalt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with a high resolution version of the theatrical poster for the Sing-A-Long edition of its smash success, Frozen. In addition, the ‘Let It Go’ sequence was also released today in sing-a-long mode which features the bouncing snowflake that will guide viewers along through the musical numbers. The Frozen Sing-A-Long edition will be in over 1,000 theaters nationally beginning January 31, 2014. Because the regular edition continues to sell out shows, it is highly recommended that tickets be purchased in advance. ‘Frozen’ Bonus Feature Lengths May Leave Fans Flurry-ous

'Frozen' on Disney Blu-rayPotentially adding insult to injury — after confirming no foreseeable plans for a 3D Blu-ray domestic release — it turns out that the total length of the bonus features for the March 18, 2014 Blu-ray release of  Frozen (pre-order) sum up to less than 40 minutes — and that includes four music videos.

We now have the running times for each of the bonus features, as per the British Board of Film Classification and aside from confirming that there appears to be no audio commentary, it also appears that some of the behind-the-scenes ‘documentary’ type material comes up short. The individual bonus features and their approximate length in minutes:seconds are as follows:
