Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with this still from their upcoming short, The Blue Umbrella, which will play before Monsters University in theaters beginning June 21, 2013. The full synopsis for the short is as follows:
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced that Wreck-it Ralph from Walt Disney Animation Studios would be available for digital download on February 12, nearly one month before the 3D Blu-ray and its variants are available to purchase on March 5.
According to the announcement, the download (available as both high definition and standard definition formats), will include all of the aforementioned Blu-ray bonus features with exception to the Disney Intermission featuring Chris Hardwick.
This move marks a first for the company, although the move is not unprecedented as Disney was one of the first to release Blu-ray discs weeks before their DVD-only counterparts and is indicative of the company moving closer to the Disney Movies Anywhere initiative.
Ahead of any official announcement, we have received a list of the bonus features that will be available when Wreck It Ralph from Walt Disney Animation Studios becomes available to own on 3D Blu-ray on March 5 (now available for pre-order).
First up is confirmation that Paperman, the groundbreaking short that played before Wreck-it Ralph in theaters will be included as one of the Blu-ray bonus features.
The Blu-ray will also include Disney’s new favorite element, Disney Intermission, which is a special viewing mode that takes place when you put the film on pause. This time around, Disney Intermission consists of ‘The Gamer’s Guide to Wreck-It Ralph,’ hosted by Nerdist Chris Hardwick.
Walt Disney Studios has also provided us with seven new stills from its film, Oz the Great and Powerful, which debuts in theaters nationwide on March 8, 2013.
The new stills give us some fabulous looks at Finley (voiced by Zach Braff) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) in particular, but our personal favorite is the environment one which appears to be Oscar Diggs/Oz (James Franco) after his balloon crash lands into the waters of Oz, with him approaching Theodora (Mila Kunis) off in the background.
The new stills have been added to the beginning of our gallery below. Click on any of the thumbnails to enlarge.
Walt Disney Studios has provided us with new looks of the main characters of its upcoming production, Oz the Great and Powerful, in theaters March 8, 2013. Nearly 2,000 individual costumes were created for the film by designers Gary Jones and Michael Kutsche, including those you see here belonging to Oscar Diggs/Oz (James Franco), Glinda (Michelle Williams), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Theodra (Mila Kunis).
Costume designer Gary Jones worked closely with both director Sam Raimi and actor James Franco to conceive the look of Oscar Diggs aka Oz, saying, ‘In preparing Oz’s clothes, Sam had a very clear idea what he wanted. I had met with James as well, and we were all heading in the same direction, which was terrific.’
In honor of Peter Pan: Diamond Edition taking flight on February 5, 2013, Disney D23 — the official club for Disney fans — has announced some very special events including a panel to take place ahead of the screening at Disney’s El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on January 11th.
Moderated by noted film critic/historian Leonard Maltin, the panel is set to include Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy), Ted Thomas (son of legendary Disney animator Frank Thomas and director/writer of the acclaimed documentaries Frank and Ollie and Walt & El Grupo) and Margaret Kerry (live-action reference model for Tinker Bell).
Though a couple of images from the filming have made their way around, we now have what we believe to be the first official image from DreamWorks’ The Delivery Man which stars Vince Vaughn and Cobie Smulders.
The image comes to us via Walt Disney Studios’ annual theatrical preview for the upcoming year. The document also contains what appears to be the first official synopsis for the film:

While we hope to have a larger version soon, Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have released yet another new still from their upcoming prequel, Monsters University, via the studio’s official Tumblr.
UPDATE: Walt Disney Studios and Pixar have provided us with a hi-res version of the image. You can click on the smaller image here to enlarge it, then click on the resize icon to view it at its original resolution.
According to the image caption, When it comes to college life, Mike and Sulley have VERY different ideas of what it means to have a good time — it’s a wonder these two mismatched monsters ever settled their differences.
