The posters feature Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) along with the Snow Queen Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel), who happens to be Anna’s sister. The full synopsis for the film follows:
When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, an amazing and comedic snowman named Olaf, Everest-like conditions and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
One of the many gems to be found on the Peter Pan: Diamond Edition blu-ray, available to own this Tuesday, February 5 (now available for pre-order) is a brand new documentary short titled Nine Old Men.
The short examines the lives of Walt Disney’s fabled ‘Nine Old Men’ (the term referring to a book on the justices of the Supreme Court, not their ages): Les Clark, Marc Davis, Ollie Johnston, Milt Kahl, Ward Kimball, Eric Larson, John Lounsbery, Wolfgang Reitherman and Frank Thomas. Together, these animators were responsible for some of the most beloved films in the history of film, let alone animation and Disney.
Earlier this morning, awards show host Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone announced the nominations for the primary categories for the upcoming 85th annual Academy Awards at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
Disney’s only nominations announced thus far — unsurprisingly — have been for Best Animated Feature Film in which Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wreck-It Ralph, Pixar Animation Studio’s Brave were all nominated. Other films in the category are Laika’s Paranorman and Aardman Animation’s The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
Yesterday we shared a hi-res still with you of the new short, The Blue Umbrella, from Pixar Animation Studios. Today we are pleased to bring you another still from the short, this one an aerial view of the street where we catch a glimpse of Blue and Red amongst the sea of black umbrellas.

Walt Disney Studios has also provided us with seven new stills from its film, Oz the Great and Powerful, which debuts in theaters nationwide on March 8, 2013.
The new stills give us some fabulous looks at Finley (voiced by Zach Braff) and the China Girl (voiced by Joey King) along with a peek at the developing relationship between Oscar Diggs/Oz (James Franco) and Theodora (Mila Kunis) along with Munchkins and Quadlings.
The new stills have been added to the beginning of our gallery below. Click on any of the thumbnails to enlarge.
Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with this still from their upcoming short, The Blue Umbrella, which will play before Monsters University in theaters beginning June 21, 2013. The full synopsis for the short is as follows:
‘It is just another evening commute until the rain starts to fall, and the city comes alive to the sound of dripping rain pipes, whistling awnings and gurgling gutters. And in the midst, two umbrellas — one blue, one not — fall eternally in love.’
Additionally, the Wall Street Journal has recently debuted a clip from the short which can be seen embeddedbelow:
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced that Wreck-it Ralph from Walt Disney Animation Studios would be available for digital download on February 12, nearly one month before the 3D Blu-ray and its variants are available to purchase on March 5.
According to the announcement, the download (available as both high definition and standard definition formats), will include all of the aforementioned Blu-ray bonus features with exception to the Disney Intermission featuring Chris Hardwick.
This move marks a first for the company, although the move is not unprecedented as Disney was one of the first to release Blu-ray discs weeks before their DVD-only counterparts and is indicative of the company moving closer to the Disney Movies Anywhere initiative.
Ahead of any official announcement, we have received a list of the bonus features that will be available when Wreck It Ralph from Walt Disney Animation Studios becomes available to own on 3D Blu-ray on March 5 (now available for pre-order).
First up is confirmation that Paperman, the groundbreaking short that played before Wreck-it Ralph in theaters will be included as one of the Blu-ray bonus features.
The Blu-ray will also include Disney’s new favorite element, Disney Intermission, which is a special viewing mode that takes place when you put the film on pause. This time around, Disney Intermission consists of ‘The Gamer’s Guide to Wreck-It Ralph,’ hosted by Nerdist Chris Hardwick.
