Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released the following video Q&A with Disney’s Tangled directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard in which the pair discuss the attraction of one of the film’s stars, Flynn Rider (as voiced by Zachary Levi). Although there doesn’t appear to be much in the way of new footage, the directors talk about the infamous ‘hot guy game’ which helped develop Flynn’s looks with the assistance of the women who worked at the Studios and throw in some of the behind-the-scenes footage from that.

Disney’s Tangled stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy and many more and opens nationwide on November 24. For more information on the film including featurettes, concept art, character art, fun facts, photos of the meet & greet characters at Walt Disney World and Disneyland and more, follow this bookmark.

First Look: Rapunzel and Flynn Rider Meet & Greet Characters at Walt Disney World

Flynn Rider and Rapunzel © Stitch Kingdom. All Rights Reserved.

Although their permanent ‘play and greet’ environment isn’t yet completed at Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden, as we previously reported, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled began making appearances today at Epcot.

Although we initially reported that they would be appearing at the International Gateway, we learned the hard way that the location may vary and in fact found the couple outside of the World Showplace, situated between the Canada and UK Pavilions. This is one of three locations used in Epcot to test out new characters and their friends, the others being the International Gateway and the area to the left of the American Adventure.

It was a good experience meeting the pair and — when it opens — the play and meet should prove to be a very entertaining experience. Noting my camera, Rapunzel commented that I must be a great artist and hang my paintings up everywhere. Noting the use of technology, Flynn suggested that I have a little man inside the device that does all the dirty work for me.

Depending on who you ask, the new meet and greet area should be operational as of either October 22 or 25. Until then, you can spot Tangled‘s Rapunzel and Flynn Rider at random intervals at any of the locations mentioned in Epcot’s World Showcase.

Disney’s ‘Tangled’ Video: ‘Hero Wanted: Flynn Rider’

Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released this video, initially released by Yahoo! Movies yesterday, which takes a closer look at Tangled’s Flynn Rider (voiced by Zachary Levi). Titled ‘Wanted: Hero,’ the montage of clips actually contains quite a bit of previously unreleased footage from the film.

We anticipate that this is the first of a series of clips focusing on characters central to Disney’s Tangled which opens nationwide on November 24. Disney’s Tangled also stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore and Donna Murphy. For more information on the film including featurettes, concept art, character art, fun facts, photos of the meet & greet characters at Walt Disney World and Disneyland and more, follow this bookmark.

Photos: Disney Event Offers First Look at Tangled’s Rapunzel and Flynn Rider Meet & Greet Characters

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider appear with guests at Disney's Tangled press eventWalt Disney Studios held a screening and press event for Tangled earlier today in Los Angeles according to tweets by LatinoReview.com’ George Roush (@elguapo1). We hear that in addition to appearances by the film’s stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, the event was attended by John Lasseter and Alan Menken. Roush also tweeted out a photo that features the new meet & greet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider characters that will be making their Disney Parks debut beginning October 15.

Note that we do anticipate the meet and greet areas at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts to embellish on Rapunzel’s hair which is significantly hidden in the photo.

Special photo-op with Flynn Rider from Disney's TangledAlso included in his tweets was a special photo-op which superimposed guests images not only alongside the film’s version of Flynn Rider, but had an alternate version of their face featured in one of the wanted posters.

Disney’s Tangled Rapunzel and Flynn Rider Meet & Greet at Disneyland Concept Art Revealed

Concept art for Tangled meet & greet with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider at Disneyland © DisneyOn its official blog, Disney Parks has shared some concept art for the upcoming meet & greet with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider at the Disneyland Resort. The art and blog entry reveal Disney’s plans on how to turn Rapunzel’s ~70 feet of hair into a reality.

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider will begin greeting guests on October 15 at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. At Walt Disney World, the duo can be found at the Magic Kingdom in the Fairytale Garden near Cinderella Castle, where Storytime with Belle currently takes place (that show ends September 12 in preparation of the transition). At Disneyland, Rapunzel and Flynn will be found at what is currently Gepetto’s Sweet Shoppe.

Concept art of a new parade being launched at Disneyland next year also appears to show Rapunzel in the Disney Princess float. No word on whether she will join the parade at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom as of yet, but it would appear to be likely, even if for a short time as a pre-parade.

First Look: Mattel Introduces Toys for Rapunzel, Toy Story 3, Cars and More

The 107th annual American International Toy Fair is about to kick off in New York City and we couldn’t be more excited. In honor of the 1200+ exhibitors showing off their latest and greatest in toys, we thought we’d take a sneak peek at some of the new Disney toys from Mattel that you can expect to find at your favorite retailer later this year.

We’ll start with this summer’s most anticipated event: Toy Story 3.

Toy Story 3 Buzz Lightyear Deluxe Action Wing Pack from MattelFirst up is the Buzz Lightyear Deluxe Action Wing Pack (Ages 6+; MSRP $49.99; Available May). Junior Space Rangers can sport this backpack style gear which — at a touch of a button — pops out a set of their very own wings, useful for flying or simply falling with style. Other buttons speak some of Buzz’s most popular catchphrases, but the coolest part of all is that the wings can sense when they’re in the horizontal position and will automatically play ‘flying’ noises. When the mission’s been accomplished, the wings contract at the press of a button.

If you’ve been following the TS3 news and have seen the new trailer, you probably already know that Ken (Michael Keaton) joins the Toy Story family and given that Mattel is the home of Ken and Barbie, the Barbie Toy Story 3 Made For Each Other Gift Set (Ages 3+; MSRP $24.99; Available May) is a zero-brainer. The pair of dolls help re-live the magic of the film dressed in the style as they appear on screen.
