‘Frankenweenie’ ‘Art of..’ Exhibition to Tour Globe; Stops Include SDCC, Disneyland

According to Walt Disney Studios UK, which posted the video below to its YouTube channel, a new traveling art exhibition featuring puppets, props and more from the film will be touring the globe starting later this month.

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new ‘leash on life’ can be monstrous.

‘Frankenweenie’ Teaser Trailer Debuts, New Hi-Res Stills

Walt Disney Studios New Zealand has released the teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie which will be released in theaters later this year. Walt Disney Studios has also provided us with several new stills, which include first looks at the characters of Edgar ‘E’ Gore (get it?) and Persephone.

From Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, comes this image of young Victor Frankenstein laying in bed while his faithful pup Sparky lays beneath it. A heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life — with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new ‘leash on life’ can be monstrous. Frankenweenie opens in theaters nationwide on October 5, 2012.

‘Frankenweenie’ New Hi-Res Still Released

Walt Disney Studios has provided us with a new hi-res image from its upcoming release of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie. The image, which features Victor with his newly reanimated pet, Sparky, initially made its debut in an article on the LA Times website. Interestingly enough, the image we received appears to be quite darker than the smaller version previously seen.

Walt Disney Studios has provided us with its annual film preview for 2012 and, taking our cue from Gaston from Beauty and the Beast 3D (how’s that for a segue?), we can only make sense of reading material by the pictures.
