CELEBRATION, Fla. (May 11, 2009) – In a Disney exclusive, numerous Disney Channel stars will set sail this summer, joining thousands of Disney Cruise Line guests aboard the Disney Wonder for eight special sailings during the first-ever “Disney Channel Summer at Sea,” presented by Kodak.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Disney Channel and offer guests on our ship a unique opportunity to sail with Disney Channel stars,” said Disney Cruise Line President Karl Holz. “A cruise vacation with Disney Cruise Line is always a family-favorite and ‘Disney Channel Summer at Sea’ provides families another reason to set sail and experience the Disney difference.”
Famous Chicken Consults on Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Hatching Pete’
Mascot Hall of Fame-inductee Ted Giannoulas, the original Famous San Diego Chicken who is widely credited for heralding an era of outrageous sideline mascots, was a consultant and one of three professional chicken stuntmen on the set of “Hatching Pete,” a raucous comedy about a small town’s zeal for its high school basketball team and the emergence of a shy teen’s hidden personality as its hilarious chicken mascot.
The stunt and basketball-filled movie geared towards kids, tweens and families, premieres FRIDAY, APRIL 24 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel with a simulcast on Sprint TV and MobiTV. The movie will be available Friday, April 17 on Disney Channel on Demand through select cable and telco providers. The “Hatching Pete” movie website at www.DisneyChannel.com features arcade games “Tailfeathers Bounce” and “Mascot Me,” and an interactive quiz.

New ‘Hatching Pete’ Music Video to Debut Online March 20
Disney Channel stars Mitchel Musso (“Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb”) and Tiffany Thornton (“Sonny With A Chance”) perform the new high-energy pop dance song, “Let It Go,” from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, “Hatching Pete,” in a music video to debut SATURDAY, MARCH 28 (7:20 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Leading up to the television debut, the handclapping, chanting song will be available exclusively online at www.Disney.com/MusicVideos and mark its debut on Radio Disney on March 20.
