Lilly Diabetes today announced the launch of an innovative collaboration with Disney Online and Disney Publishing Worldwide that combines Lilly’s deep understanding of diabetes with some Disney magic to provide inspiration, education and practical advice to families with children who have type 1 diabetes. The companies have created a variety of resources for families, including a special online hub found on Disney Family.com and a series of custom books by Disney Publishing Worldwide for children of various ages and stages of life with diabetes.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Cast Members Get Sick from Parking Lot Fumes
WESH Orlando is reporting that 18 cast members at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World have reported feeling ill today with six being transported to the hospital for care. Fumes as a result of repaving the parking lots were determined to be the source of the problem which had only affected the reporting cast members as they had experienced prolonged exposure to the fumes while working at the parking lot.
The report notes that no guests have reported becoming ill as a result nor has park operations been affected at all according to Reedy Creek officials.
Disney Parks to Wipe Hands Clean of Guests in Response to Flu Concerns
Over the next few weeks, Disney Parks will deploy hand sanitizer dispensers in common locations across the resorts such as theme park turnstiles, resort lobbies and some meet & greet locations in response to concerns over the spread of germs and viruses, notably the H1N1 flu virus.
In addition, guests will continue to be able to purchase individual hand sanitizing packets at various retail locations throughout the parks and resorts.
