Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that The Finest Hours will be available to own on Digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere and Blu-ray/DVD on May 24, 2016 (now available for pre-order).
Amid songbook standards, Disney’s The Finest Hours (January 29, 2016) will feature covers performed by Irish rock band Kodaline and singer/songwriter Kate Davis, Stitch Kingdom has learned. Kodaline will perform a cover of the sea shanty ‘Haul Away Joe,’ while Kate Davis will perform ‘Vaya Con Dios’ with Rico Barr and the Jump ‘N’ Jive Review. Walt Disney Studios has recently released two clips from its upcoming film, The Finest Hours (January 29, 2016). With just a week to go before Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases its live action reboot of Cinderella (available to own on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on September 15, 2015). A slew of bonus feature sneak peeks have been offered up from the Studios around the world. We have also previously shared several clips from additional bonus features as well as from the alternate opening. All of the newly released clips are from the bonus feature titled ‘A Fairy Tale Comes to Life’ and feature cast and crew talking about various aspects of turning the animated classic into a live action film. Note that many of the clips below, although in English, also feature localized subtitles.

Bonus features will include the Frozen Fever short as well as more than twelve minutes of deleted scenes, including the alternate opening titled ‘Ella’s Childhood’ which we have previously reported. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment may be keeping us all in suspense as to when they will finally announce the Blu-ray release of its live-action Cinderella and which bonus features will be included, but fortunately Walt Disney Studios Australia (who released the film two weeks after the United States) has not already targeted for a June 24 release, but has begun releasing several short snippets from the bonus features — most of which we previously mentioned here — all of which you can find embedded below.
With still no official announcements on its home release, we have learned of a couple of additional bonus features for the Blu-ray release of Cinderella (now available for pre-order), thanks to the British Board of Film Classification. As expected, Frozen Fever will be included as a bonus feature as well as ‘Alternative Opening: Ella’s Childhood’ which clocks in at just under three minutes. We will continue to update as deleted scenes and other features are revealed.
