MINDstyle Re-imagines Popular Stitch Vinyl Collectibles by Eric Tan and Jenny Chung
MINDstyle has recently previewed a couple of exciting new Stitch-inspired art toy collectibles (ATCs) by Eric Tan and Jenny Chung inspired by their previous creations.
A smaller version of Jenny Chung’s Lilo CosPlay Experiment 626 figure was available exclusively as a purchase with purchase at the D23 Expo in 2009. Guests who made a qualifying purchase (it was the TRON-painted V.I.N.CENT for myself) were able to purchase up to three of the CosPlay figures for $23 each. To their credit, however, MINDstyle added to each pre-order an additional figure gratis due to some complications with order fulfillment. Now Chung has followed up with a new Lilo CosPlay figure inspired by the Experiment 626 project, this time Lilo is dressed as Stitch’s gal-pal, Angel. Perhaps most remarkable of all, MINDstyle says it will be available at select Disney Store locations this holiday season.
Although MINDstyle apparently has given a first look of it several months ago, it has recently announced that Eric Tan’s Lava Stitch vinyl collectible, a follow-up to the Tiki Stitch, will also be available for this holiday season at select retail locations, although presumably not Disney Store.
