In recognition of his remarkable body of work, Sprint (NYSE:S) is pleased to present A Cinematic Celebration of Jerry Bruckheimer on May 17, 2010 in Hollywood. Five Bruckheimer-produced blockbusters will screen in Hollywood during this special event celebrating the producer of some of the most successful motion pictures of the last 35 years. Each screening will be introduced by an actor or director who helped make the film so memorable. The event will coincide with the Hollywood premiere of Bruckheimer’s newest epic action-adventure, the much-anticipated “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” starring Jake Gyllenhaal, at the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the American Film Institute (AFI).
Sam Claflin has been selected by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Rob Marshall to star in the key role of Philip, a youthful missionary, in Walt Disney Pictures’/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ epic adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth in the blockbuster series of films. Claflin joins Johnny Depp, returning in his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow, as well as Astrid Berges-Frisbey and an international cast. The film is slated to open on May 20, 2011.

Just released by Walt Disney Studios UK is this new trailer for Jerry Bruckheimer’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in which we learn a bit about the dagger of time and what makes it desired so many and how it’s become Dastan’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) destiny to protect it.
Prince of Persia is set to be released on May 28, 2010 in the United States.
Walt Disney Studios has just sent us this amazing, highly detailed logo for its upcoming release of Jerry Bruckheimer’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicolas Cage, which will make its US theatrical debut on July 16.
Linda Lingle today announced that Hawai‘i will be the location for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth installment of the highly successful Walt Disney Pictures’ action adventure film series from Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger met with Governor Lingle on Friday to share the news that the islands of Kauai and Oahu will be sites for the production of the feature film, which will begin shooting this summer and is slated to be released in summer 2011. The production is expected to generate an estimated $85 million in direct and indirect spending in Hawaii, providing a needed economic boost for the state’s economy as well as creating hundreds of jobs for local residents.

Walt Disney Studios has just sent us a couple of new posters for Jerry Bruckheimer’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time which match up with a previously released poster that probably looks like it belongs on the cover of GQ more-so than the lobby of your local movie theater.
The new posters feature Jake Gyllenhaal as Dastan under the banner of COURAGE and Ben Kingsley as Nizam with REVENGE. These mesh with the previously released image of Gemma Arterton as Tamina and DESTINY.
