Here’s your first look at the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides from Walt Disney Studios while it lasts.
The trailer also features an introduction by Captain Jack Sparrow, the very same that was first shown at San Diego Comic-con earlier this year at the end of the TRON: Legacy panel.
In the film, slated to be released in theaters nationwide on May 20, 2011, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth when a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane).

First Images: ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4′ – Six New Hi-Res Stills
Walt Disney Studios has graciously provided us with six brand new stills from the upcoming epic adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. The stills feature Johnny Depp returning as the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow, Penelope Cruz as Angelica and Ian McShane as Blackbeard.

Sam Claflin’s Prayers Answered as He Joins Cast of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides’
Sam Claflin has been selected by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Rob Marshall to star in the key role of Philip, a youthful missionary, in Walt Disney Pictures’/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ epic adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth in the blockbuster series of films. Claflin joins Johnny Depp, returning in his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow, as well as Astrid Berges-Frisbey and an international cast. The film is slated to open on May 20, 2011.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Claflin attended The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He then won roles in the historical mini-series “The Pillars of the Earth,” alongside actors Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Matthew MacFadyen and Donald Sutherland, followed by the telefilm “The Lost Future.”

French Actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey To Make U.S. Debut in POTC4
Astrid Bergès-Frisbey has been selected by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Rob Marshall to star in the key role of Syrena, a beautiful and alluring young mermaid, in Walt Disney Pictures’/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ epic adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” the fourth in the blockbuster series of films. Bergès -Frisbey joins Johnny Depp, returning in his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow. The film is slated to open on May 20, 2011.
Born in Barcelona of French-American and Catalan parentage, and now based in Paris, Bergès-Frisbey, one of France’s brightest young stars, appears in such French films as “La Fille du Puisatier,” “Bruc,” “Extase,” “La Premiere Etoile” and “Un Barrage Contre le Pacifique.” She has also appeared in the telefilms “La Reine Morte,” “Elles et Moi,” “Divine Emilie” and “Sur le Fil.” Berges-Frisbey appeared on stage at the Theatre Marigny in a production of Peter Shaffer’s “Equus.”

Sideshow Collectibles Debuts Jack Sparrow Premium Format Figure; Announces Next Villain
Standing proud at 19″ tall and weighing in at 10 lbs, this individually painted, life-like representation of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean series boasts a fabric costume and an LED-lit lantern on a setting inspired by the famous Disney Parks attraction.
The figure is expected to ship in 4th quarter of 2010 and is now available for pre-order for $320 with a limit of two per customer. Subscribers to Sideshow’s newsletter already had an opportunity to order a special edition of the figure with a switch out hand holding a pistol. That figure, selling for $325, is currently available on a waitlist basis only.

New Television Commercial for ‘Alice in Wonderland’
Walt Disney Studios has just begun airing a new television commercial for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. In addition to much of the footage previously released, the new tv ad shows a bit of footage from ‘the real world’ towards the beginning of the film in which Alice must face her fate shortly before spotting a well dressed rabbit.
