New Season of ‘Aaron Stone’ Starts February 24 with New Characters; New Online Games to be Introduced
Disney XD will premiere a second season of the live-action adventure series “Aaron Stone” with two back-to-back episodes on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). The stories find champion video gamer Charlie Landers and his legendary crime-fighting avatar, Aaron Stone, taking their game to a whole new level when a group of new villains escape and threaten world domination.
Intriguing new characters are introduced this season, including Damaged, the son of Helix, who has telekinetic powers; Mr. Galapagos, a control freak with electro-kinetic powers; Steeltrap, who possesses an internal plasma energy source; Shackles, a super strength mutant; Silver, a super thin mutant who can squeeze through anything; and U, a faceless shape-shifter.
DisneyXD.com will debut two new “Aaron Stone” games for players to earn points and collect new items for their personalized avatars. In “Last Stand,” available now, players must defeat six Omega Defiance bosses in order to stop Kronis from taking over the world. In the second game, launching Tuesday, February 23, players can help Aaron hone his skills and dodge, run and jump faster in order to defeat the new villain Damaged and his henchmen.
Following the linear premiere, full episodes of “Aaron Stone” will be available via DisneyXD.com, Disney XD VOD, Disney XD Mobile VOD, iTunes and XBOX.
The premiere schedule is:
- “Aaron Stone” (8:00 p.m.) In the Season Two premiere, “Damage Control,” a new threat arises when the hooded villain, Damaged, frees himself and a bus full of failed experiments, criminals and mutants and begins picking off the remaining Omega Defiance members. Dr. Necros comes looking to Aaron Stone for protection but instead leads him into Damaged’s clutches. Meanwhile, Jason is determined to get Charlie a dream job working at the video game and comic store, Never-ending Comics.
- “Aaron Stone” (8:30 p.m.) In the episode “In the Game of the Father,” when Charlie discovers that his father worked for the Omega Defiance, the news sends him into a tailspin as he tries to prove that his father wasn’t evil. Charlie follows clues left by his father to track down an intelligence serum, which leads Aaron Stone to a rematch with Damaged . With new threats to the world, T. Abner Hall enlists Vas and Ram to create a ‘Hero Rising’ expansion pack to help Charlie train for his inevitable confrontation with these new villains..

Capra’s ‘Low Day’ Video from Disney XD Original Movie ‘Skyrunners’ to Premiere November 13
Disney XD and Radio Disney will premiere “Low Day,” the first music video from the original movie “Skyrunners,” on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13 (7:28 p.m., ET/PT). The video offers sneak peeks from the science fiction adventure movie and is set against a backdrop that matches the dynamic action sequences of the movie. “Low Day” is performed by the pop alternative rock band Capra, which is fronted by the movie’s star, Kelly Blatz.
The song will Planet Premiere on Radio Disney at 3:00 p.m., ET/PT. The band will also make an exclusive appearance at Radio Disney joining on-air personality Ernie D in studio for a Take Over to talk about their new song and the upcoming movie.
“Low Day” was written by Hollywood Records artist Capra and the video was directed by Declan Whitebloom (Jonas Brothers’ “S.O.S.,” Mitchel Musso’s “The In Crowd”). In addition to Blatz, Capra is Paul Laliberte (bass), Shelby Archer (guitar), Michael Johnson (drums) and Jeff Laliberte (guitar).
“Skyrunners,” a sci-fi adventure that features alien creatures designed by the Academy Award-winning Weta Workshop (“The Lord of the Rings,” “The Chronicles of Narnia”) will be presented on Disney XD, Friday, November 27 (5:00 p.m., ET/PT). The story follows teenage brothers Tyler (Joey Pollari) and Nick Burns (Kelly Blatz) who commandeer a small UFO that crashes near their town. They soon learn the spacecraft is “alive” and there’s an ominous alien plot to take over Earth.

Disney XD Orders New Season of ‘Aaron Stone,’ Announces New Sitcom ‘Viper Slap’
Disney XD has renewed its flagship series “Aaron Stone” for a second season and has ordered a new original sitcom, “Viper Slap” (working title), about a teenage boy who is living his dream as the new lead guitarist of his favorite rock band and is determined to help his new misfit band mates make an epic comeback.

Production Begins on ‘Skyrunners,’ Disney XD’s First Original Movie, Starring Kelly Blatz
Production has begun on “Skyrunners,” the first original movie for the newly branded television platform Disney XD. The science fiction adventure features rising star Kelly Blatz, who can also be seen playing the title role of the new network’s flagship series “Aaron Stone.” In addition Weta Workshop, the multiple Academy Award-winning world leader in special makeup, creature and visual effects (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “King Kong” and “The Chronicles of Narnia” films), will design and provide the practical alien creature effects in the movie. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.

Avatars Reveal Fun Facts About ‘Aaron Stone’ During TV Marathon March 27
Disney XD’s signature series, “Aaron Stone,” will be seen in a seven-episode marathon that includes special trivia on-air and online, in “Disney XD For Real: Aaron Stone Edition,” airing FRIDAY, MARCH 27 (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.
Disney XD avatars “Sk8r,” “Tekhed,” “INsdr,” “gthgrl,” “Hllywrd” and “gAmr” will present behind-the-scenes footage and trivia about the series’ special effects, the cast’s martial arts training and gamer jargon. The fun facts include that there are six custom-made Aaron Stone suits (three for actor Kelly Blatz and three for his stunt double), and that Kelly Blatz spent several weeks in martial arts training to prepare for his role as Aaron Stone.
Viewers can also log onto www.DisneyXD.com to watch an encore presentation of “Disney XD For Real: Aaron Stone Edition” (beginning at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) and take a quiz for a chance to earn online rewards/trophies. Users can also create a unique 3D avatar representation of themselves. By playing games and completing special challenges, guests will be able to collect exclusive items to then transform their avatars.

One of the final panels at the 2009 New York Comic Con was this panel featuring cast & crew of the upcoming Disney XD keystone show. Moderated by Jermaine Turner, head of development for Disney XD, the panel began first with a clip promoting the new channel which debuts next Friday. According to the promo, Aaron Stone will be joined by other programs such as: new series like Kid vs Kat and Jimmy Two Shoes; classic Disney Channel shows such as Even Stevens, Phil of the Future, the Suite Life of Zack and Cody; and new episodes of Phineas and Ferb.
