Walt Disney Imagineer and show writer Jason Surrell offers just a tad more information than he has already shared with us for The Last Tour to Endor hard-ticketed event taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World on August 14.
One of the event’s festivities will be a ‘mash-up’ live-action stunt show in which Indiana Jones meets Star Wars. The show is appropriately titled ‘Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of ‘Epic’ Proportions.’ The following clip from Walt Disney World provides the few details available:
So what happens when the 1940s and long time ago mesh together and Indiana Jones comes face to face with Han Solo? We may find out in another week, should the Universe manages to survive.
StarWars.com checks in with popular Walt Disney Imagineer and Last Tour to Endor show director Jason Surrell as he talks about the preparation going into some of the exclusive events guests will get to experience first hand as part of the special hard-ticket event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 14 commemorating the transition of Star Tours into Star Tours II.
In addition to the appearance of characters from the Star Wars trilogies, Surrell offers up juicy details on Sorcery in the Sky, the first fireworks show designed by Disney inspired completely by Star Wars. In just 12 minutes, the story of all six films will be told through the music of John Williams, the dialogue from the films and many of the classic sound effects. Says Surrell: ‘My only regret is that we’re only going to do this once!’
In the interview, which can be found here, Surrell also provides a bit of insight into the Death Star Disco Dance Party.
