WATCH: Idina Menzel Performs Award-Winning ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’

Idina Menzel to Perform ‘Let It Go’ on Oscars Telecast

Tony Award®-winning singer, songwriter and actress Idina Menzel will, for the first time, perform the Oscar®-nominated song ‘Let it Go’ for a global television audience at the Oscars®, show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today. The Oscars, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will air on Sunday, March 2, live on ABC.

‘Let it Go,’ written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for Frozen, is nominated for Original Song. The three other nominated songs are ‘Happy’ from Despicable Me 2, ‘Ordinary Love’ from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and ‘The Moon Song’ from Her.

PHOTOS: Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Strikes Gold with Star-Studded Performance

On January 14, 2014, the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen, as well as the single ‘Let It Go,’ were recognized by the RIAA as being certified gold (selling more than 500,000 physical copies). To commemorate the event as well as the success of the film and the album in general, Disney held a private showcase event last night the Vibrato Grill Jazz Club in Los Angeles.

Sneak Peek: Disney ‘Frozen’ Sing-A-Long Edition (Hi-Res Poster)

Disney 'Frozen' Sing-A-Long EditionWalt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with a high resolution version of the theatrical poster for the Sing-A-Long edition of its smash success, Frozen. In addition, the ‘Let It Go’ sequence was also released today in sing-a-long mode which features the bouncing snowflake that will guide viewers along through the musical numbers. The Frozen Sing-A-Long edition will be in over 1,000 theaters nationally beginning January 31, 2014. Because the regular edition continues to sell out shows, it is highly recommended that tickets be purchased in advance.
