‘Tangled,’ an animated series for kids, tween and families, based on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ acclaimed feature film, has begun production with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their roles as Rapunzel and Eugene (also known as Flynn Rider). The series will premiere in 2017 on Disney Channels around the world. It will also reunite Disney Legend and Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced that ‘Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy,’ featuring Disney Princess Rapunzel, will be available to own on DVD on February 24, 2015 (now available for pre-order).
The revelation of a spellbinding secret sets in motion the most thrilling adventure in the history of Sofia the First! After learning that the Amulet of Avalor is magical, Amber snatches it while Sofia is sleeping. Unfortunately, she unwittingly unleashes a curse that summons evil Princess Ivy, who threatens to destroy the amulet, seize the crown and turn the entire kingdom black-and-white! Amber and Sofia soar through the skies on a flying dragon — aided by special guest Rapunzel — as they embark on a daring quest to defeat Ivy, break the curse and save Enchancia. Packed with high-flying excitement, plus three more song-filled episodes, The Curse of Princess Ivy shows how love, trust, and unselfishly putting others’ needs first can truly work magic!
Season two of Disney Junior’s hit animated series ‘Sofia the First,’ is set to debuts on Friday, March 7 at 9:30 am ET/PT on Disney Channel. For the second season, the series has rounded up some amazing talent to lend their voices to characters appearing throughout the season. Among the guest stars are: Alyson Hannigan (‘How I Met Your Mother’) as a young faun who always felt she wasn’t special enough; Ginnifer Goodwin (‘Once Upon A Time’) as the castle’s kitchen maid who aspires to be an inventor; Melissa Rauch (‘The Big Bang Theory’) as Ruby’s fairy godmother; Anna Camp and John Michael Higgins (both of Pitch Perfect) as a charmingly sinister princess and a tall fire-breathing dragon; Isla Fisher (The Great Gatsby) and Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as two adventurous young sprites; Nick Offerman (‘Parks and Recreation’) as a well-connected fox who reigns over Enchancia’s woodland creatures; Robert Morse (‘Mad Men’) as an elderly retired sorcerer; Christian Borle (‘Smash’) as an ambitious, young castle steward out to take Baileywick’s job; Oliver Platt (‘The West Wing’) as a sickly old dragon; Tracey Ullman (‘The Tracey Ullman Show’) as a happily wicked witch; and Phylicia Rashad (‘The Cosby Show’) as a cranky ice witch who eventually allows her heart to be melted by the power of music.

I feel like I’ve been sharing a new clip from Disney’s Tangled practically every day. Oh wait, I have. This clip, titled ‘Pan-dering’ for reasons I suspect I shall never learn, actually is the lead-in to the clip posted yesterday, ‘Person In My Closet’ so I’ve re-posted it below the new one so you can re-watch it in sequence.
In short, Rapunzel has a frying pan.
On that happy note, ‘The Smolder’ was also released yesterday but I think I forgot to share it. So I’m left with no choice, here comes ‘The Smolder.’
Mandy Moore (voice of Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (voice of Flynn Rider) stopped by the Disney Store Times Square in New York City earlier today to take some time to read to local schoolchildren. The pair are in town to promote the 50th animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Tangled, which opens in theaters nationwide on November 24.
The original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Tangled was released today and is now available for purchase and immediate download from several sources, but clearly one of the best deals so far appears to be Amazon.comwho is currently selling the complete album in MP3 format plus digital booklet for just $3.99.
The album consists of 20 tracks featuring all new songs written by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater and performed by Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy and the supporting cast as well as the end-title variation Something That I Want by Grace Potter.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new featurette and clip in promotion of its upcoming animated classic Disney’s Tangled starring Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi and opening nationwide on November 24.
In the featurette, titled ‘The Dynamic Duo,’ the usual gang of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, co-directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno and John Lasseter explore the individual personalities and teaming up of Rapunzel and the swashbuckling thief Flynn Rider. In addition to quite a bit of newly released footage, there’s also some behind-the-scenes voiceover work.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released this new clip from its upcoming release Tangled in which Mother Gothel (voiced by Donna Murphy) returns to the tower in her usual fashion. It’s the eve of Rapunzel’s eighteenth birthday and it’s clear that her priorities don’t seem to align too well with the only mother she’s ever known.
Disney’s Tangled stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy and many more and opens nationwide on November 24. In this clip titled ‘Reluctant Alliance,’ Rapunzel is on a mission to see the floating lantern spectacle, Maximus is on a mission to catch Flynn Rider and Flynn, well, he’s Flynn. Rapunzel also learns a rather painful lesson when it comes to having 70 feet of hair too.
