Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios have recently released a series of clips from Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014), which you can find embedded below.
To create the city of San Franksokyo for Disney’s Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014), Walt Disney Animation Studios introduced a lot of new technology to make it happen: importing real world data from San Francisco’s county assessor’s office; creating a new rendering system called Hyperion (also used for Feast) to handle how light is handled; and creating Denizen, a piece of software to populate San Fransokyo with citizens (and tourists).
Rather than have to design and animate thousands of locals individually, Walt Disney Animation Studios created Denizen, a proprietary system created that revolutionizes how artists create and animate crowds.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new teaser video from Patrick Osborne’s short, Feast, which will play before Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014), which you can find embedded below.
Feast, a new short from first-time director Patrick Osborne (head of animation for Paperman) and Walt Disney Animation Studios, is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.
Walt Disney Studios and Disney Animation Studios have shared a new clip from their upcoming film, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014). The clip, titled ‘Low Battery,’ takes place after Hiro and Baymax first encounter Yokai and have gone to report the incident to the police. It’s part of a larger clip which was first shown to the attending audience at the recent New York Comic-Con panel. Note it appears that the audio is tremendously out of sync so hopefully it will be resolved soon.
As we previously announced on Twitter, Amazon has begun listing the original motion picture soundtrack for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) with an anticipated release date of November 24, 2014. As we also confirmed last week, ‘Immortals’ by Fall Out Boy will be the end title track for the film and as a result, an official ‘music video’ for the song has been released. The single is also currently available on iTunes. You can watch the new music video embedded below.

This past weekend, Marvel Television gave attendees at New York Comic-Con the very first look at its upcoming series, ‘Daredevil,’ which will premiere on Netflix in 2015. Based on the popular Marvel super hero, and taking great influence from Frank Miller’s The Man Without Fear, the dark 13-episode series stakes itself in ‘gritty reality’ and will lead into additional series based on Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
At the Marvel Unlimited Plus members-only event held earlier this morning at the New York Comic-Con, Marvel shared exclusive first looks at upcoming films Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron as well as the debut of the trailer.
In the Ant-Man scene, we hear the voice of Hank Pym as he introduced himself to a tiny armored Scott Lang as Ant-Man running through the streets. Pym introduces Lang to a relatively large fly that Pym is able to call on to take him where he needs to go.
Production has begun on ‘Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy,’ an upcoming animated-television series for Disney XD, featuring the hugely popular characters introduced in the record-breaking Marvel Studios film of the same name. The announcement was made today by Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, at New York Comic-Con. Produced by Marvel Television, the series stars Peter Quill as Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits – fan-favorite Rocket Raccoon, a tree-like humanoid named Groot, the enigmatic, expert fighter Gamora and the rough-edged warrior Drax the Destroyer. The series will premiere in 2015 on the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD.
Following yesterday’s news that IDW would be publishing an Artist’s Edition of Carl Barks’s ‘Uncle Scrooge,’ IDW Publishing kicked off the first official day of New York Comic-Con with an additional Artist’s Editions announcement — this time Marvel.
Commenting on the announcement, David Gabriel, SVP of Sales & Marketing said: ‘Comic books are one of America’s original art forms. With that, IDW has produced a collection of classic Marvel artwork that displays the authentic collaborative efforts between creators and shows just how these comics moved from pencils to inks to press and stepped into American pop-culture.’
