Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced that Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron will be available to own on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray (now available for pre-order), DVD and On Demand on October 2, with an early September 8 release for Digital 3D and HD and Disney Movies Anywhere.
Ahead of any official announcement, Amazon has begun listing both Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter: The Complete First Season‘ and ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Complete Second Season‘ for release on Blu-ray and DVD on September 18, 2015. Additional Amazon is tagging them as exclusives, but it’s not yet clear what that entirely means. The provided descriptions are as follows:
‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ returns for a powerful third season introducing new friends and foes inspired by the critically acclaimed ‘Secret Warriors’ comic series. In the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson will search the world for more powered people and assemble an extraordinary new team to deal with threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon find out they’re not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.
Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have provided us with new hi-res stills from Ant-Man (July 17, 2015) that you’ll only see here first. The new stills have been added to our gallery of images from the film which you can find embedded below.
The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
White Coffee Corporation has announced it will be releasing single-serve Marvel-branded coffee and hot chocolate to be available later this year in retail outlets nationwide. In addition, the products will be available at the upcoming New York Comic-Con.
The Marvel Comics Coffee line consists of four single serve varieties, featuring Marvel’s Super Heroes’ likenesses splashed, in bold colors, across each 10-count box including: Iron Man’s ‘Stark French Roast,’ Spider-Man’s ‘Daily Bugle Breakfast Blend,’ Captain America’s ‘Shield Hazelnut’ and the Incredible Hulk’s ‘Gamma Espresso Roast.’ The suggested retail price is $6.99.
While nothing from the Marvel Cinematic Universe was shared at this weekend’s ‘Marvel Unlimited+’ members only panel at New Jersey’s first Atlantic City Boardwalk Con, footage from upcoming animated series was shared with the attending audience. Among the footage was an extended clip from the upcoming Disney XD animated series, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ — or to be more precise, one of the shorts that will lead into the series. The shorts will actually help establish the Guardians for the viewing audience with origin stories and the like.
October 1939 saw the debut of ‘Marvel Comics,’ only that was the title of the comic book series, not the publication company itself. Decades before Marvel became Marvel, it began as Timely Publications and shortly thereafter — for a time — Timely Comics. It would further re-brand itself as Atlas Comics in the 1950s and transition into Marvel Comics in the 1960s. And the rest — as they say — is history.
For the Marvel fan that has almost everything, Beast Kingdom will offer life-size sculpts of the Hulkbuster from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is now available for pre-order from Entertainment Earth, although the 9 3/4 foor tall statue — which clocks in at a whopping 1500 pounds — is equally as heavy on the wallet, costing a mere $18,000 plus the custom shipping (not to mention the required lift for ‘installation’). For all that moolah, it’s worth noting that it also lights up. The official description is as follows:
Walt Disney Studios Japan’s movie trailers have always managed to deviate from the ‘norm.’ They tend to feature different footage — often including spoilers, which would be considered taboo in other countries — and are edited to create an emotional story, rather than just splashy glimpses of various, unrelated scenes. Perhaps never has this been demonstrated more in this trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron which touches upon just every moment in the film that had audiences gasping. To put it mildly, if you have not seen the film yet, we do not advise you watch the trailer below. Unless you are a diehard Hawkeye fan that is.
