Ahead of its expected announcement at E3 in Los Angeles, video footage demonstrating a new game being developed for the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect has emerged with USA Today providing additional details.
(‘Kinect Disneyland Adventures’ footage begins around the 2:22 mark)
According to the USA Today article, the game will offer players the opportunity to virtually explore the iconic theme park which includes opportunities to meet and greet and take virtual photos with characters as well as experience attractions such as Peter Plan’s Flight, which is expected to be demo’d at the expo.

‘Disney Universe’ Delivers New Trailer, Details Including Downloadable Content
As promised, we have a new teaser trailer for Disney Interactive Studios’ recently announced title, Disney Universe, with a promise of additional content on June 7, as E3 begins.
‘Disney Universe is a vast treasure chest of Disney properties with memorable characters, places and experiences that gamers, as well as Disney fans will enjoy,’ said Adam Sussman, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. ‘The fast-paced, frenetic gameplay combined with wacky humor and hilarious situations make Disney Universe the perfect game to play with family and friends.’
Disney is not being loose with many of the game’s details yet, but has added that the different worlds that players can explore are not only inspired by, but follow the actual storylines of the selected Disney and Disney/Pixar films. Players will select a character-based costume, with each costume offering a specific tool that changes and grows in power as players adventure through the game. Disney Universe offers frenetic gameplay, multiplayer with up to three friends and slapstick humor that will appeal to players of all ages.
Disney Interactive has also announced plans to offer downloadable content (DLC) post-launch for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming consoles in way of new character costumes and worlds. The game will also be available for the Wii platform and as downloadable content for the PC.
Disney has not announced an official release date as of yet, but Amazon.com is now listing the title with a release date of Halloween (October 31, 2011), a fitting date for a game whose primary talking point is wearing costumes.
