In a wonderful use of technology, Walt Disney Studios has produced a new website titled Frankenweenie360 which takes visitors on a virtual 360 degree tour of the sets of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will bring Oscar home to the Disney blu-ray family on August 21, 2012 when it releases Disneynature’s Chimpanzee (now available for pre-order).

Celebrating its 35th anniversary and ahead of any official announcements, the official Disney DVD site is reporting that the beloved classic Pete’s Dragon will be making its debut on blu-ray on October 2, 2012.
While Disney announced earlier this year that the film would be released on blu-ray this year, information surrounding the release outside of the site seems to be as elusive as Elliott himself. To complicate matters further, the DVD site has proven to be very unreliable in terms of release dates in recent months.

Disney D23, the official fan club for The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) and Disney Fine Art have announced that they will be holding a special screening of Disney/Pixar’s latest on screen adventure, Brave, at Disney’s El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood in conjunction with a special meet and greet opportunity with artists Victoria Ying of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Daniel Arriaga of Pixar Animation Studios and Jim Salvati who will be presenting new art inspired by the film.
In conjunction with the launch of the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives at the Ronald Reagan Foundation and Library beginning July 6, 2012, Disney D23 will be releasing a ‘musical tour’ which features anthems and instantly recognizable music from nearly 85 years of the company’s history. From ‘Turkey in the Straw’ as used in Steamboat Willie to Walt Disney’s Disneyland dedication speech in 1955 to Captain America: The First Avenger, the musical tour, inspired by the more than 500 items from the Walt Disney Archives on display at the museum is sure to induce fond memories for all generations.
Ahead of its theatrical debut on Friday, attached to Brave, Disney (NYSE:DIS) and Pixar Animation Studios has released four versions of the official teaser trailer for the Monsters, Inc. prequel, Monsters University, in which Mike Wazowski rattles off a different line in each.
