‘Iron Man 3′ New Hi-Res Stills Spotlight on Iron Patriot, Dr. Maya Hansen
Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have shared with us a few new hi-res stills from Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3, in theaters on May 3, 2013. Among the new images are a good look at Iron Patriot as well as Dr. Maya Hansen (portrayed by Rebecca Hall) — a contemporary of Tony Stark and recognized biotechnologist whose work on the ‘super soldier’ program yielded Extremis, a compound which genetically alters its subjects into super beings.
The new images have been added to the beginning of our gallery below. As always, click on the thumbnail to see a larger version. If the resize arrow appears, you may click it to see the image in its original resolution.
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

‘Monsters University’ Teaser Poster Released
Featuring text books including Scareonomics and a spin on the classic self-help book, I’m OK, You’re OK (titled I’m Scary, You’re Scary), the new teaser poster for Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University was unveiled earlier today exclusively by Fandango.
The article also shares a few more details about the film but basically confirms an earlier report of ours that Mike Wazowski and Sulley do in fact join the Oozma Kappa (speaking of OK) fraternity.
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
Screaming with laughter and fun, Monsters University stars the vocal talents of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray and Peter Sohn and is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae. The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

Disney Hints at Launch Date for ‘Disney Movies Anywhere’ Initiative
Though it’s been promoting the program for well over a year and has even since changed the name of it, it appears that The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) may be finally ready to unveil its ‘Disney Movies Anywhere’ (formerly ‘Disney Studios All Access’) initiative.
Based on Disney’s own proprietary technology dubbed Keychest, DMA will allow customers to purchase a single copy of a Disney title and subsequently be able to watch it across all devices on an on-demand basis. A competing technology, UltraViolet — which is backed by movie studios other than Disney — has been available for some time, but has not been well received overall by its customers. TWDC CEO Bob Iger has suggested in the past that he would allow UltraViolet to be the trailblazer and potentially gauge their market reaction to help mold that of Disney’s own.
The news comes via Disney Movies Online, where customers would be able to purchase select titles and stream them via the internet, who sent an email earlier today informing its customers that it would be closing as of December 31, 2012, suggesting a possible launch date of January 1, 2013 for ‘Disney Movies Anywhere.’ The email points to an online FAQ which indicates that the Disney Movie Rewards program will not be impacted as a result and it will be offering refunds for prior film purchases to those who request them as those purchases will become inaccessible as of 2013.

‘The Lone Ranger’ Prop on Display at Walt Disney World
After a recent refurbishment at its Studio Backlot Tour, guests at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida now have the opportunity to preview a prop from the upcoming action adventure film, The Lone Ranger, from Walt Disney Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer.
The prop featured in the attraction, which takes guests ‘behind the scenes’ the world of filmmaking, appears to be the top portion of a courthouse which has seen better days, bears only a hint of what it once proclaimed: ‘Justice for all.’
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ The Lone Ranger, a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice — taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter and will debut in theaters on July 3, 2013.

Walt Disney Studios has just released the newest trailer for its upcoming film, Oz the Great and Powerful which debuts in theaters nationwide on March 8, 2013.
Oz The Great and Powerful imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.
