‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Inspires Prelude Comic, Original Novel and More

'Guardians of the Galaxy'Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the next — and perhaps strangest — entries into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s mostly unknown to those who don’t embed themselves into the Marvel comics universe. While Star-Lord, Groot and Rocket Raccoon and the rest of the motley crew will undoubtedly become household names after the movie releases on August 1, 2014, Marvel is gearing up to indoctrinate us with a series of original books and materials tied to the film.

‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Viral Ad is Totes Da Bomb

'Muppets Most Wanted' PosterWalt Disney Studios has just released this new viral ad on its YouTube page promoting Muppets Most Wanted, most likely the first of many parody ads if 2011′s The Muppetsmarketing is any indication.

Instead of taking shots at other films, however, this particular ad pokes fun at the burgeoning marketing method of using the tweets of ‘ordinary folk,’ not actually reviewing the film, but instead just simply voicing the intent of seeing the film. All of the tweets/accounts named in the ad do actually exist (see embedded below), but they are obviously not genuine and were all generated for the sake of making the ad, embedded below.

Amazon ‘Confirms’ ‘Frozen’ Blu-ray March 18 Release Date While Walmart Redacts

Disney 'Frozen' on Blu-rayDisney’s Frozen has been garnering accolades and attention for all sorts of reasons, most of which have been for quite positive ones, while others have been — well, confusing.

Take the case of the hotly anticipated home video release of Frozen. Amazon was first to begin accepting pre-orders — even while the film was just debuting in theaters — but this, in essence, has become the norm for Amazon. It’s a given that the product will be released on Blu-ray eventually, so why not accept pre-orders? Only Amazon had also been taking pre-orders for a 3D version of the Blu-ray, one it had to subsequently remove and unceremoniously cancel all orders.
