Slated for a June 16, 2017 release, Disney Chairman and CEO Robert I get today announced that ‘Toy Story 4′ is currently under development and is being directed by John Lasseter. The announcement was made during a press call discussing The Walt Disney Company’s fiscal year.
As per the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, twenty animated films have been submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Category of the 87th Academy Awards. Among them are Big Hero 6 from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy and Planes: Fire and Rescue from Disney Toon Studios. Several of the films, however, have yet to complete their required
qualifying run in Los Angeles. Category rules dictate that at least eight eligible animated features must be theatrically released in Los Angeles County within the calendar year in order for the category to be activated, although that does not appear to be an issue at this point in time.

When it comes to Disney and mobile apps, there are pretty much two things you can rely on: first is that there is almost always at least one tie-in app/game for a movie; second is that Disney Digital Books has consistently been releasing near flawless apps that go well above and beyond expectations. ‘Big Hero 6: Baymax Blast‘ betrays neither of these. In fact, I would go as far as to suggest that reading this review would be a mistake as it will take away from potential play time. Nonetheless, here it is.

Walt Disney Studios and Disney Animation Studios have launched a new micro-site in support of Big Hero 6 (Nov 7, 2014), titled ‘Baymax Hero Lab.’ Via a series of questions and fun interactive activities such as a Big Hero 6-themed memory game and plugging the leaks in Baymax, the site aims to give you a super hero identity along with identifying your super power and teaming you up with one of the Big Hero 6 team members.
Walt Disney Animation Studio’s Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) held the prestigious honor of opening the Tokyo International Film Festival last night and to celebrate the occasion, Baymax himself was in attendance at the red carpet event. Teasing a special announcement at the end of tonight’s episode of ‘Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,’ Marvel today announced that it will finally be releasing the trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron during next week’s television episode. The trailer has previously only been shown to attendees of the Hall H panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and to a small room at the Marvel Unlimited Plus members-only event at New York Comic-Con.
