Pictured here is the illustration used in several recently filed trademark applications filed by The Walt Disney Company. Just from the looks of it, three things are very clear: (1) it prominently features the Disney ‘D’ logo; (2) it contains a portion of what appears to be a filmstrip; and (3) the shape and outline of the illustration strongly suggests a mobile app, be it iOS, Android or both.

Being delivered soon to Gold Members, the spring 2014 issue of Disney twenty-three pays homage to the 1964–65 World’s Fair in New York — a time of optimism, growth, and progress. The Fair, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, marked the creation of landmark Disney technology, music, and attractions including it’s a small world, Audio-Animatronics® technology, ‘Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,’ and ‘Progressland’ /aka/ the ‘Carousel of Progress,’ with its iconic anthem, ‘There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.’ For the issue, Disney twenty-three sat down with several Disney Legends responsible for these iconic landmarks including Marty Sklar, Alice Davis, and Bob Gurr. Stunning concept art and rarely seen photography from the World’s Fair complement the stories in this issue, available exclusively to Gold Members of D23.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, not to mention a clever follow-up to yesterday’s news of Piggy’s wedding dress and the ‘Two Kermits’ promo comes ‘Two Women.’ Apparently Piggy isn’t the only femme fatale who has her heart set on Kermit in the upcoming film Muppets Most Wanted (in theaters on March 21, 2014). You can find the new promo embedded below.
Miss Piggy is back on the big screen, starring in Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted, which follows the Muppets on a grand, star-studded tour throughout Europe. The European setting screamed romance to Miss Piggy, who’s been trying to convince her favorite frog to tie the knot for years. But what will the divine diva don for the all-new film, which hits theaters on March 21, 2014? Vivienne Westwood was commissioned to create couture designs for the fashion icon, including a white dress that would be perfect for a wedding — if one should actually take place.

In the short, Mike and Sulley return to Monsters University for a fun-filled weekend with their Oozma Kappa fraternity brothers. The gang is throwing their first party, but no one’s showing up. Luckily for them, Mike and Sulley have come with a plan to make sure ‘Party Central’ is the most epic party the school has ever seen.
On January 14, 2014, the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen, as well as the single ‘Let It Go,’ were recognized by the RIAA as being certified gold (selling more than 500,000 physical copies). In honor of next week’s release of The Jungle Book Diamond Edition, which marks the first time the immortal Disney classic will be available on Blu-ray, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has provided us with sketches and concept art created for the film. Admittedly much of these has been previously released before, but rarely at such a high resolution. So high in fact, that we had to shrink down several of the images in size just to make them fit. In addition to the concept art, they have also provided us with sneak peeks from the all new bonus feature, ‘Music, Memories & Mowgli: A Conversation with Richard M. Sherman, Diane Disney Miller and Floyd Norman.’
