Potentially adding insult to injury — after confirming no foreseeable plans for a 3D Blu-ray domestic release — it turns out that the total length of the bonus features for the March 18, 2014 Blu-ray release of Frozen (pre-order) sum up to less than 40 minutes — and that includes four music videos.
Frozen audiences are invited to join the act — literally — as more than 1,000 theaters nationwide introduce an all-new sing-along version of Disney’s Oscar®-nominated, Golden Globe®-winning big-screen adventure beginning Jan. 31, 2014.
‘Frozen fans have embraced the film’s original songs and its soundtrack with such passion — there are countless YouTube videos from people singing songs like “Let It Go” — we decided to create a version that would celebrate that enthusiasm,’ said Dave Hollis, executive vice president, theatrical distribution, The Walt Disney Studios. ‘It’s a great opportunity for families to get together and have some fun with these songs.’

Walt Disney Studios Spain has released a new international poster for Muppets Most Wanted (March 21, 2014) via Andromeda High. A variation on a previously released international poster, it puts co-stars Constantine and Kermit front and center while highlighting the rest of the cast, including Ty Burrell, Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey.
Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling our grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine — the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit — and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

Serving as part of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s research, particularly for the lighting, of Disney’s Frozen, Quebec City’s famed Hôtel de Glace — or Ice Hotel — has revealed the first look at its exclusive, limited Frozen-inspired suite.
Created entirely out of sculpted ice and snow and supervised by the film’s art director Michael Giaimo, the Frozen Suite is modeled after Anna & Elsa’s bedrooms. The collaboration will also include a ‘Frozen Activity Cave’ bringing the wonder of Disney’s wintry tale to life like never before. The suite will be open this weekend and remain open through March 23.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the next — and perhaps strangest — entries into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s mostly unknown to those who don’t embed themselves into the Marvel comics universe. While Star-Lord, Groot and Rocket Raccoon and the rest of the motley crew will undoubtedly become household names after the movie releases on August 1, 2014, Marvel is gearing up to indoctrinate us with a series of original books and materials tied to the film.
Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have shared with us the first minute of their new One Shot, titled ‘All Hail the King’ which will be featured as one of the bonuses on the February 25 release of Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray (pre-order), which we have embedded below.
The short takes place after the events of Iron Man 3 in which Trevor Slattery is now an infamous icon. He’s also locked up in a high-security prison. Luckily, his newfound profile has brought him celebrity and protection on the inside — and the actor has gladly agreed to an in-depth profile with a documentary filmmaker. The short stars Sir Ben Kingsley — reprising his role — and Scoot McNairy.
In the next (and perhaps final) turn in a maze of confusion surrounding a 3D Blu-ray release of Disney’s Frozen, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has independently confirmed to us that there are no announced plans for a 3D release at this time, reminding us that Frozen will be available on Digital 3D on February 25, as per the initial announcement.
