Disney’s ‘Monkey Kingdom’ Clips, Character Descriptions and Soundtrack Details

Disneynature 'Monkey Kingdom'Promotion for the upcoming Disneynature film Monkey Kingdom (April 17, 2015) has been lackluster at best considering its release is less than a week away, but we finally have our first official clips from the film — as brief as they are — featuring narrator Tina Fey, which you can find embedded below.

We have also learned that the original song featured in the film is titled ‘It’s Our World’ and is performed by ‘The Voice’ season five runner-up, Jacquie Lee. The song was written by Matthew Tishler, Felicia Barton and Aaron Benward and will be released digitally on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Disney Music will contribute a portion of each sale from the single — through May 12 — to the film’s benefactor, Conservation International.

But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family.

Disney’s ‘Tomorrowland’ Character Backstories and Set Details (Minor Spoilers)

According to co-writer Damon Lindelof, the main character of Frank Walker was always described as ‘George Clooney-esque.’ ‘Whenever we would talk about actors for Frank, the thinking was: who’s like Clooney?,’ recalls Lindelof. ‘We crossed our fingers and did our best job of writing it, infusing Frank with a curmudgeonly humor and a heroic quality, all of which we think George embodies. And then we sent it off into the universe.’

WATCH: ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Featurette, ‘Re-Assembled’

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Theatrical PosterCourtesy of Walt Disney Studios UK, we have a new featurette for Marvel’s upcoming film, Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1, 2015), titled ‘Re-Assembled’ which features the cast talking about re-uniting to film the second Avengers movie, along with new footage and even some behind-the-scenes action.

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Pixar ‘Inside Out’ Screening and Talkback in New York City on May 29

Pixar Inside Out Theatrical PosterThe Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in association with The School of Visual Arts have announced that on May 29, 2015, they will be offering a special advanced screening of Pixar Animation Studio’s Inside Out (June 19, 2015) to be followed by a Q&A with co-writer/co-director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera. The event serves as the finale of a series of presentations focused on the history of animation titled ‘An Animation Showcase: From Celluloid to CGI.’ Docter and Rivera are promised to ‘share behind-the-scenes details about the movie, its inspiration and what it took to bring it to the big screen.’

WATCH: Disney ‘Tomorrowland’ Ad with Revealed Plot Point; Viral Site Updated

'Tomorrowland' Theatrical PosterWalt Disney Studios today released the first television ad spot for Tomorrowland (May 22, 2015) outside of the Super Bowl ad titled ‘The One,’ which you can find embedded below. Interestingly enough, while most of the footage isn’t new, there is a new clip of Casey being shot at as she runs from the sci-fi/comic shop, the same one we saw her talk to Keegan-Michael Key and Kathryn Hahn’s characters in the Japanese trailer, only they don’t appear so polite in this clip. One can only imagine that Casey’s pin is quite coveted by quite a few others.

Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ Updated Synopsis, Writing Credits

Pixar Inside Out Theatrical PosterWalt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with a brand new, updated synopsis for Inside Out (June 19, 2015):

Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head? Disney/Pixar’s original new film Inside Out ventures inside the mind to find out.

Based in Headquarters, the control center inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), whose mission is to make sure Riley stays happy. Fear (voice of Bill Hader) heads up safety, Anger (voice of Lewis Black) ensures all is fair and Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) prevents Riley from getting poisoned — both physically and socially. Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith) isn’t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.
