'Frozen' by Tom WhalenAs part of its annual tribute to Oscar winners (and sometimes nominees), Mondo has announced it will be releasing its poster for Frozen by artist Tom Whalen at a random time tomorrow, March 18, 2014 (usually between 10 am – 12 pm ET, but never guaranteed). Disney’s ‘Frozen’ 3D Blu-Ray in October, Potentially with More Bonus Features

FROZEN Box ArtWalt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s confirmation of nothing to announce for the 3D Blu-ray edition of Disney’s Frozen has made fans feel as though they were left out in the cold, with many resorting to order the 3D edition from overseas, amidst fears of ‘double-dipping.’ Although there has been no official announcement, marketing materials obtained by Stitch Kingdom have indeed confirmed plans for an October 2014 release of the 3D Blu-ray/DVD release of Frozen.

Disney ‘twenty-three’ Spring 2014 Visits Disney’s World’s Fair

Disney 'twenty-three' Spring 2014Being delivered soon to Gold Members, the spring 2014 issue of Disney twenty-three pays homage to the 1964–65 World’s Fair in New York — a time of optimism, growth, and progress. The Fair, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, marked the creation of landmark Disney technology, music, and attractions including it’s a small world, Audio-Animatronics® technology, ‘Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,’ and ‘Progressland’ /aka/ the ‘Carousel of Progress,’ with its iconic anthem, ‘There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.’ For the issue, Disney twenty-three sat down with several Disney Legends responsible for these iconic landmarks including Marty Sklar, Alice Davis, and Bob Gurr. ‘Frozen’ the Broadway Musical Microsite Launched by Disney Theatrical

'Frozen' from Walt Disney Animation StudiosIn the wake of CEO Robert Iger’s declaration that ‘Disney’s Frozen will be heading to Broadway’ during a recent earnings conference call, Disney Theatrical — the stage production arm of Walt Disney Studios — has erected a microsite for the production currently under development.

That said, there is nothing particularly noteworthy for the site which can be found at FrozenTheMusical.com (FrozenMusical.com, FrozenOnStage.com, FrozenOnBroadway.com and FrozenBroadway.com now all redirect to it). There site visitors will simply see a form to provide their email address for updates on the ‘stage adaptation.. as it becomes available.’

PHOTOS: ‘Frozen’ Suite at Canada’s Hotel de Glace Ice Hotel (High-Res)

'Frozen' Suite at Hotel de Glace Serving as part of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s research, particularly for the lighting, of Disney’s Frozen, Quebec City’s famed Hôtel de Glace — or Ice Hotel — has revealed the first look at its exclusive, limited Frozen-inspired suite.

Created entirely out of sculpted ice and snow and supervised by the film’s art director Michael Giaimo, the Frozen Suite is modeled after Anna & Elsa’s bedrooms. The collaboration will also include a ‘Frozen Activity Cave’ bringing the wonder of Disney’s wintry tale to life like never before. The suite will be open this weekend and remain open through March 23.

Official: ‘Frozen’ 3D Blu-ray Domestic Release Delayed Indefinitely

FROZEN Box ArtIn the next (and perhaps final) turn in a maze of confusion surrounding a 3D Blu-ray release of Disney’s Frozen, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has independently confirmed to us that there are no announced plans for a 3D release at this time, reminding us that Frozen will be available on Digital 3D on February 25, as per the initial announcement.

The article, which spoke of the film’s momentum, does use the term ‘Broadway’ twice (once in the headline), but never directly attributes it to Bob Iger, the CEO and Chairman of The Walt Disney Company.

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel — all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

‘Into the Woods’ in Production, Will Feature New Song by Stephen Sondheim

Disney’s Into the Woods kicked off production last week, featuring an award-winning production team and all-star ensemble cast. Rob Marshall, the talented filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical Chicago and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, helms the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine, who also penned the screenplay, and legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, who provides the music and lyrics — including an all-new song for the big-screen adaptation. Into the Woods is produced by Marshall, John DeLuca, ‘Wicked’ producer Marc Platt and Callum McDougall. Shooting in studio and on location throughout England, the film is slated for a December 25, 2014, holiday release.
