Even before the show set sail back in November, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee was causing waves of excitement at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. With the show advertised to end on January 3, many were disappointed but then turned optimistic when the official site began listing the show as continuing beyond the expected final date.
While we are sad to report that the show is in fact ending today (and is explicitly listed as being performed only today on the Magic Kingdom’s Times Guide for this week), we thought we’d offer some hope of our own for those who missed the opportunity to see the moving spectacle.
Although au revoir is French for goodbye, its [roughly] literal translation is ‘until we see each other again’ and we have been privy to some information indicating that the show may in fact be returning, at least temporarily, most likely for the summer season. We can confirm that the Resort is actively auditioning for the roles for the show including Dr. Facilier who traditionally has only appeared for the show itself as opposed to meet and greets.
Some have asked us about how the existing meet & greets with Tiana and Naveen will be affected by the show ending and we are pleased to say that for the most part, they will not be affected at all. Tiana and Naveen will continue to meet with guests in Liberty Square (behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe) for the time being.
Couldn’t wait to share these gorgeous hi-res images of Tiana, Naveen, Dr. Facilier, Louis and Mama Odie (and Juju) from The Princess and the Frog.

We are pleased to present to you over a dozen new stills from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog which feature Mama Odie in addition to more of Tiana, Naveen, Louis, Ray and the rest of the clan from the film.
The newest additions are at the beginning of the gallery. Enjoy! Images courtesy of and © Disney
Earlier this year, Disney and Aflac joined forces in order to promote UP in a television spot for the insurance company that cleverly integrated the Aflac Duck with segments from the film.
Not to be outdone, Martin the GEICO Gecko has stepped in to help promote The Princess and the Frog and it’s reptilia y amphibia when the cursed Prince Naveen learns that being hexed is only the beginning of his problems. Is it too much to hope for the next commercial to have Mr. Toad saving money by switching to GEICO?
In any case, enjoy.
Walt Disney Studios has just sent us these six new stills from their upcoming 2D animated release, The Princess and the Frog. The images are the first six pictured in the gallery below. And make sure you check out tag Tiana for all the latest news on the film.
You can see the poster in its much larger, original size here.
Here are a couple of new featurettes for Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. The first features the film’s star Anika Noni Rose along with co-star Terrence Howard, the film’s directors: John Musker and Ron Clements and more as they talk about Disney’s newest princess, Tiana
Next, check out this featurette where Anika Noni Rose (Tiana) and Bruno Campos (Naveen) talk about how falling in love isn’t necessarily all it’s croaked up to be:
We have just received new stills from The Princess and the Frog courtesy of Disney which we have added to our film gallery. The four new stills are featured at the beginning of the gallery, but we present all of the stills in the gallery for your enjoyment.
