NYCC: ABC Family Details Booth Signings, Events for ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ ‘Stitchers’ and ‘Shadowhunters’


ABC Family recently detailed its plans for its booth at the 2015 New York Comic-Con, featuring meet and greets with casts, photo-ops and more.

  • ‘Pretty Little Liars’ on Friday, October 9 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm with actors Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse
  • ‘Stitchers’ on Friday, October 9 from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm with actors Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Allison Scagliotti and Damon Dayoub

REPORT: Star Wars Costume Exhibit Headed to New York City in November

Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume As it completes its debut run at the EMP Museum in Seattle, Discovery Times Square in New York City has quietly announced it will play host to the ‘Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars and the Power of Costume,’ exhibition, a display of 60 costumes from the iconic Star Wars anthology of films. Discovery Times Square will be the second of twelve museums to host to the touring exhibit.

Toys ‘R’ Us Times Square Plans Awaken for Star Wars Episode VII Product Release on September 4

In preparation for the world-wide roll-out of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens products at midnight on September 4, 2015, Toys ‘R’ Us has announced its plans to commemorate the event including an entire day of Star Wars related events the day before at its global flagship store in Times Square.

‘Forever’ Video Presentation and Cast Q&A at New York Comic-Con

‘Agents of SHIELD’ to Preview Episode, Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ at New York Comic-Con

Marvel and New York Comic-Con today announced that Marvel will be bringing the second season of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ as well as Netflix’s upcoming ‘Daredevil’ to the stages during this year’s Comic Con.

On Friday, October 10, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will take to the stage as Marvel’s head of television, Jeph Loeb, will make new announcements as well as premiere an upcoming episode of the second season before its television debut on October 14. Loeb will also host a ‘Marvel Animation Presents’ presentation, providing an exclusive first look at content from season two of ‘Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.’ and the future of Marvel Animation.

NYCC: Disney to Preview ‘Big Hero 6,’ ‘Tomorrowland’ at New York Comic-Con

Short on details, Walt Disney Studios has confirmed its plans to present at the 2014 New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 9, 2014.

Walt Disney Animation Studios presents an exclusive look at their follow-up to last year’s Frozen, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) with directors Don Hall and Chris Williams, producer Roy Conli and special guests. We already know that Scott Adsit, voice of Baymax, will be attending the Comic-Con for other purposes, so it’s likely he too will join the presentation.

This year, the event will be sponsored by the new Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection which launches in June with its release of The Lion King, featuring thirty minutes of its previously unreleased score by Hans Zimmer.

‘Disney Magical World’ Launch Event with G Hannelius at Nintendo World, April 12

Cole Pendery, G Hannelius © Nintendo of AmericaNintendo of America and Disney Interactive have announced that they will be holding a launch event for ‘Disney Magical World‘ for the Nintendo 3DS at Nintendo’s Nintendo World in New York City’s Rockefeller Center. The event, which will feature ‘Dog with a Blog’ star G Hannelius, will take place on Saturday, April 12 from 12 pm – 3 pm.

For the event, the popular destination for Nintendo fans will be transformed into a Disney paradise and include festivities such as the ability to play the new game, a Disney themed photo booth, Disney sketch artists, a giant AR card that players can scan in to download an outfit for the game and access to the Disney Cafe for cupcakes and beverages (while supplies last).

‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Early Screening, Bret McKenzie Sing-A-Long in New York

'Muppets Most Wanted' PosterTickets went on sale earlier this evening for the annual New York International Children’s Film Festival in New York City today and, continuing their gracious participation, Disney is allowing the festival to screen Muppets Most Wanted on March 15, almost a full week before it debuts in theaters. In addition to the early screening of the sequel, the festival is offering a screening of the previous 2011 film, The Muppets, but as a special sing-along edition with guest Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords, who wrote the songs for both films.
