Disney's 'Planes'Via its official Facebook page, Walt Disney Studios UK has released this new poster for Disney’s Planes from DisneyToon Studios. The poster features Dusty alongside Ripslinger and Rochelle with Colin Cowling in the distance.

Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.

In addition to the poster, Disney Interactive today released a trailer for the Disney’s Planes video game for Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS systems inspired by the film:

CONFIRMED: ‘The Lone Ranger’ Playset for Disney Infinity

'The Lone Ranger' Playset for Disney InfinityJust ahead of E3, we have received confirmation of something we have been reporting for quite some time: a previously as-of-yet unannounced playset for ‘Disney Infinity,’ The Lone Ranger. Although we have been talking about the playset since before the original announcement, we last visited the possibility back in March, when the launch had been delayed until August. While most outlets focused on that its launch no longer coincided with the theatrical release of Monsters University, we also pointed out that it now releases after the theatrical debut of The Lone Ranger, which will now mean Disney Infinity will be relying on the success of the film rather than being a marketing tool for it.

Now with E3 just a couple of weeks away, etailers such as Amazon.com have begun listing the playset for pre-order. One gung ho retailer in particular, Entertainment Earth, even went as far as providing an image of the packaging for the playset which features the Tonto and Lone Ranger figures, along with the playset token, a variant on the skull and crossbones composed of a Texas Ranger badge, a pistol and a tomahawk.

The page has since been removed, but the images themselves were left in-tact (both the thumbnail and actual size). Additionally we were able to find the page in tact through the internet archive wayback machine. The product description reads as follows:

Disney Infinity The Lone Ranger Play Set Pack

  • Expand on your Disney Infinity figure collection!
  • Disney Infinity Play Set Pack for Disney’s The Lone Ranger.
  • Comes with The Lone Ranger and Tonto video game mini-figures along with The Lone Ranger world!

Continue building and strongly expanding your arsenal of Disney Infinity characters! This Disney Infinity The Lone Ranger Play Set Pack lets you greatly expand your strength in the Disney Infinity video game. Featuring video game mini-figures of The Lone Ranger’s Tonto and The Lone Ranger along with The Lone Ranger world expansion ability, this Play Set Pack allows you to continue playing and experiencing the amazing world of Disney Infinity with Disney’s The Lone Ranger!

It should be noted that the anticipated September 2013 release date is the same date Entertainment Earth has posted for all ‘Disney Infinity’ products so we still anticipate The Lone Ranger playset’s release at launch. The prices are also higher than you can expect from other etailers. We asked Entertainment Earth about their prices and this was a response from a representative:

‘The pricing we have posted on our site is the pricing that has been recommended as the correct retail price for the item. Since Disney is the license holder, they can sell the item for a lower price than any other retail outlet. We do offer a Low Price Guarantee program, … you can forward that website URL to us and we will try to match it.’

This just leaves the Toy Story Space playset we have been anticipating.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Concept Art for Nintendo Wii, DS and 3DS Video Game

Wreck-It Ralph Video Game Concept Art - Queen Cy-Bug

With just under a week to go before it releases its adaptation of ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ the video game for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS, Activision has teased us with new concept art for the game featuring the dreaded cy-bugs from ‘Hero’s Duty.’

Here we get to see several variations of the cy-bugs including a juvenile (presumably freshly hatched from its egg), a flying minion, a lamp cy-bug (which has a few special secrets of its own) and the Queen, who dwarfs 9′ tall Ralph in this art.

As per the Amazon.com description, features of the game include: the ability to swap avatars on-the-fly, meaning you opt to use Ralph to destroy objects or Fix-It Felix to repair them; collecting medals and Easter eggs; varying levels of play; and four environments based on the movie.

Earlier this month, Walt Disney Animation Studios released this teaser video of the game (which doesn’t provide much of anything short of the promise the game is coming):

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ the video game from Activision will be available in North America on October 30, 2012

‘Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition’ Coming for Nintendo 3DS

Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition

Right before Finding Nemo 3D from Disney/Pixar lands in theaters on September 14, 2012, Disney Interactive will release ‘Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue Special Edition‘ for the Nintendo 3DS, according to a listing by Amazon.com.

In addition to 3D clips from the film, the game itself will essentially feature more than thirty mini-games in which the player can compete for sea tokens to be redeemed for items for their interactive reef. An additional baggy mode will allow players to re-create the dentist escape scene from the film and unlock additional characters from the tank gang to be able to use in the mini-games in addition to Marlin, Nemo and Dory.

The game is also being re-released for the Nintendo DS (minus any 3D features)

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ to Appear in SEGA’s ‘Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed’

After SEGA’s iconic character Sonic the Hedgehog was spotted as the face of keeping order in Wreck-It Ralph’s Game Central Station during a clip played during the Walt Disney Studios presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, it’s only natural that life imitate art and that Ralph himself would appear alongside Sonic on the small screen as well.

Earlier today, SEGA announced that the title character of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming comedy, Wreck-It Ralph, will appear alongside Sonic the Hedgehog in the highly-anticipated racing video game Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. The thrilling racing adventure allows players to race through land, air and water in new dynamic tracks inspired by classic SEGA video games. Wreck-It Ralph’s unique transformable vehicles and signature All-Star move will make for some of the best racing around when he lines up against other All-Stars such as Sonic, AiAi and Danica Patrick, in both single player and multiplayer game modes.

‘Wreck-It Ralph will make a great addition to our stellar cast in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed,’ said Masanao Maeda, Chairman and Chief Content Officer, SEGA of America. ‘Disney has created a unique film experience that will appeal to gamers of all ages, and our video game collaboration will give fans the opportunity to interact with their character on the small screen as well.’

‘To have Wreck-It Ralph included in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is a dream come true,’ said Rich Moore, director of Wreck-It Ralph. ‘The film pays homage to the video games I loved as a kid, including Sonic the Hedgehog in a special cameo, so being able to see Wreck-It Ralph in a real video game alongside Sonic and other iconic SEGA characters is unbelievably exciting for me and should be a treat for fans!’

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®Vita system, the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system, Nintendo’s Wii U™ system and Windows PC Digital Download this November.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Video Game to be Developed by Activision for Nintendo Wii, 3DS

Get ready for classic arcade video game action with a whole new modern look and feel as Activision Publishing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard Inc., (Nasdaq: ATVI) and Disney Interactive (NYSE:DIS) today announced a collaboration to produce and distribute a Wreck-It Ralph video game. As a story extension to the highly anticipated upcoming blockbuster film of the same name from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the Wreck-It Ralph video game is set to inspire a whole new generation of young gamers as a classic, arcade-style side scroller featuring Ralph – the misunderstood villain of his own arcade game who sets out to prove he can be a hero too. Debuting this fall tied to the movie release, Wreck-It Ralph will bring all the fun from the big screen right into the living room for the Wii system from Nintendo, and the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS hand-held systems.

Wreck-It Ralph, as a brand entity, is perfectly suited for video game stardom,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President, Activision Publishing. “With the fantastic characters and creative atmosphere envisioned by Walt Disney Animation Studios, we know fans are going to love seeing their newfound favorite characters embark on an all-new side scrolling adventure.”

The game picks up where the movie leaves off as Ralph partners with Fix-It Felix and sets out to save their friends and home from a huge Cy-Bug invasion. Pounding through all-new levels in the Wreck-It Ralph universe, like Sugar Rush, Hero’s Duty, and Fix-It Felix, Jr., players will have to use Ralph’s destructive strength to beat by the Cy-Bugs, while switching back to Felix to repair the damage. With story campaign and two-player co-op on the Wii platform, players can switch between Ralph and Felix to solve action-packed puzzles and collect “Hero Medals.”
