Disney Interactive Media Group today announced the development of “Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion,” the first Nintendo 3DS™ title in the “Disney Epic Mickey” franchise. The title features an interactive combination of painting, dual screen integration and 3D transformation capabilities designed to give players the unique ability to create objects and even characters they can place in the world of Wasteland.

‘Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]’ Announced for Nintendo 3DS in 2012

KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance]Square Enix, Inc. and Square Enix Ltd., the publishers of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, Europe and across PAL territories, today announced fans of the popular KINGDOM HEARTS series will be able to experience a new 3-D adventure next year with the North American and European release of Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] for the Nintendo 3DS.

The new game’s spectacular story promises to be a fun backdrop to the colorful cast of Disney characters making their 3-D debut on a handheld title. In addition to new worlds, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] will feature never-before-seen gameplay elements for the series.

E3: Square Enix Announces ‘Kingdom Hearts 3D’ for Nintendo 3DS

Kingdom Hearts 3D for Nintendo 3DSWith absolutely no game description, no release date, no game rating and no game title, Square Enix has confirmed that it plans to release a 3D chapter in the Kingdom Hearts series for the Nintendo 3DS, the new portable gaming device that introduces 3D gameplay without the need for glasses.

During a presentation for the new game platform, Nintendo of America also announced that it has reached agreements with multiple studios to release 3D films for playback on the platform, including Walt Disney Studios. Disney’s Tangled was used, in part, to help demonstrate the new product.
