Watch ABC’s ‘No Ordinary Family’ Series Premiere Online Today

This fall, there’s only one place where you’ll find a room full of scientists so darn good looking, you’ll half expect Tyra Banks to burst in and talk about the home cold fusion kit she’s created, not to mention Michael ‘The Thing’/'The Commish’/'The Guy’ on ‘The Shield’ Chiklis half-naked, and that’s on ABC’s new family melodrama, ‘No Ordinary Family.’

The Powells are about to go from ordinary to extraordinary. After 16 years of marriage, Jim and Stephanie’s relationship lacks the spark it once had, and their family life now consists of balancing work and their two children, leaving little time for family bonding. During a family vacation set up by Jim in an attempt to reconnect, their plane crashes into the Amazon River. But this is where the fun starts for the Powells, as they soon discover that something’s not quite right. Each of them now possesses unique and distinct superpowers. But saving and savoring their family life will be equally important, as they try to find purpose for their new powers and embark on a journey to find out what defines and unifies them. The Powells are a totally relatable family who happen to be a little bit amazing.

Michael Chiklis (‘The Shield’) stars as Jim Powell, Julie Benz (‘Dexter’) as Stephanie Powell, Romany Malco (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) as George St. Cloud, Tate Donovan (‘Damages’) as Mitch McCutcheon, Autumn Reeser as Katie Andrews, Christina Chang as Yvonne Cho, Kay Panabaker as Daphne Powell and Jimmy Bennett as JJ Powell.

Even though the series won’t see its premiere until September 28, ABC has set up NoOrdinaryScreening.com and they’re inviting 50,000 viewers to watch the pilot episode online right now with limited-interruption. Actually, what happened is that a major national retailer that we can’t mention (hint: rhymes with Best Buy) ran an advertisement for the screening which requires a password to view the show, only they made no ordinary typo and so the password printed in the ad doesn’t work. Upon learning this, we immediately assembled a team of a dozen no ordinary monkeys, armed each with a PC and set them to work. Three days later, we achieved success (actually, the monkeys found the password within 10 minutes (they’re no ordinary monkeys after all), but there’s nothing much cuter than a roomful of hacking monkeys — and uh, well, a room full of monkeys also means no ordinary cleanup job, no matter how not ordinary the monkeys are).

So here’s the not quite ordinary secret: visit NoOrdinaryScreening.com and, when prompted, enter the following password exactly: Extraordinary. The password is case-sensitive, so you must use the uppercase E, lowercase x, lowercase etc., etc.

Incidentally, it’s not quite ready yet, but one of our unordinary monkeys left us a ‘message’ to keep an eye out for NoOrdinaryContest.com. We just wish he had chosen to use a pen and paper instead.
