Ke$ha, Taio Cruz Added to Times Square Performances for ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’
Ke$ha and Taio Cruz will perform live from Times Square on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011,” on Friday, December 31 on the ABC Television Network. Both will make their debut performances as Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest host the show live in New York with Times Square Correspondent Jenny McCarthy. In 2010 alone, Ke$ha has dominated the charts with five Billboard Hot 100 Top 10s. Her debut album Animal has been certified platinum, having sold over 1 million units in the U.S. and 2 million worldwide. Multi-platinum UK singer/songwriter/pop star Taio Cruz’s debut album, Rokstarr, spawned not one but two triple-platinum singles with “Break Your Heart,” featuring Ludacris, and “Dynamite.” “Break Your Heart,” climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March and made history as the biggest ever jump to No. 1 by a newcomer to the chart.
Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas will return to host the Los Angeles-based portions of the specials, with recently announced performances including, Jennifer Hudson, Willow Smith, Ne-Yo, Avril Lavigne, Drake, Jason Derulo, La Roux, Mike Posner, Natasha Bedingfield, Far East Movement and Train.

The bi-coastal celebration will include three and one-half hours of special performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations from around the globe, as well as the American tradition of Dick Clark counting down to midnight from Times Square in New York City.
The festivities will kick off with “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011″ from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET, featuring the only live performances from New York’s Times Square as well as multiple performances from the Los Angeles celebration.
During “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011, Part 1″ (11:30 p.m. – 1:08 a.m., ET), in addition to reporting on the final minutes of 2010 and the traditional Times Square countdown to midnight, the show will feature music performances from both Los Angeles and Times Square in New York.
Wrapping the night’s activities will be “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011, Part 2″ (1:08-2:11 a.m., ET), when musical acts will continue the party into the early hours of the New Year with additional performances from Los Angeles.
The specials are presentations of dick clark productions, inc. with Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest and Orly Adelson serving as executive producers. Larry Klein produces.

Disney Channel Launches New Year’s Eve Event Today; DC Stars to Compete in NYE Game Show
Disney Channel invites viewers to create their own New Year’s Eve programming event by voting for their favorite episodes, moments, music videos and more in online polls at DisneyChannel.com. Beginning FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, three new polls will roll out each Friday inviting viewers to vote in a total of 18 categories, including Favorite Episodes and Favorite Guest Star. Fans can also vote for their Top 10 favorite music videos of 2009, and the songs will air on Radio Disney. Voting will determine the New Year’s Eve programming lineup, entitled “New Year’s Star Showdown,” airing THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 (6:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Throughout the night, Disney Channel will air sneak peeks of upcoming Disney Channel and Disney XD series and original movies including the much-anticipated “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam.”
Last year nearly 33.7 million online votes were cast during the “Totally New Year” programming event. This year, every time one of the online polls is completed, users will unlock that week’s digital prize and reveal a piece of the mystery puzzle. Prizes include a 2010 printable calendar, New Year’s Eve party decorations and games. Fans can also test their Disney Channel knowledge in new online trivia games every week.
During the “New Year’s Eve Star Showdown” programming lineup, favorite Disney Channel stars will compete in five Game Show challenges: “So Random,” “Last Star Standing,” “Sound Off,” “Quick Draw” and the “New Years Eve Countdown Game.”

Magic Kingdom to Host Two New Year’s Eve Experiences for First Time
Via its official blog, Disney Parks has announced that the Magic Kingdom will be hosting two special events for New Year’s Eve this year.
First up is an all-you-can-eat dinner and dessert party at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station with an exclusive viewing of the Wishes fireworks show. Choose from artisan breads, fruit, cheeses, sushi, salads, seared tuna, beef short-ribs and carved pork (a ‘child-friendly’ food station will also be available). Check-in for the event begins at 6:15 pm and the cost is $139.99 per adult (ages 10+) and $69.99 per child (ages 3-9).
Also available is a Fantasy in the Sky Dessert Party beginning at 9:50 pm. A self-service buffet and soft drinks will be available. Cost is $35.99 per adult (ages 10+) and $19.99 (ages 3-9).
Note that park admission to the Magic Kingdom is separate and required and that the Magic Kingdom park does not service alcohol (which is available at other parks and resorts).

Victoria and Albert’s to Host New Year’s Eve Event for First Time
Orlando’s single five-star restaurant, Victoria and Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, will be hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration dinner. The dinner will run from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm with a chef and sommelier preparing an 8 – 10 course menu that includes caviar from around the world and a collection of some of the most eclectic and famous champagnes available. Chef Scott Hunnel and his team will also make personal appearances during the event.
Please note that viewing the fireworks is not included in this package.
The price of the dinner which includes wine and gratuity is $395 plus tax. V&A’s has a strict dress code and does not allow children under the age of 10 to dine at the restaurant, including during this event. Reservations are currently being accepted at 407-WDW-DINE.
