Ahead of any official announcements, multiple etailers have begun listing several Disney animated classics (and neo-classics) for a release date on Blu-ray of August 6, 2013. (NOTE: Return to Never Land has now been given an August 20 release date).
Amongst the releases scheduled are Return to Neverland Special Edition
Also of note being listed for an August 6 release is the Disney Channel animated special, Pixie Hollow Games Pixie Party Edition

‘Peter Pan’ Minimates Collection at Disney Store in March
Diamond Select Toys has announced that they will be producing the first ever Disney Minimates collection for Peter Pan to commemorate the release of the animated classic’s Diamond Edition on Blu-ray
Two boxed sets of four Minimates mini-figures each will be available in the collection. The first set will include Peter and three of the lost boys:? Cubby, Tootles and Nibs. Peter comes with a miniature version of Tinker Bell that can hover over his shoulder. The second set will include Michael, John, Captain Hook and a full-sized figure of Tinker Bell. Both sets will include standing bases to support each character, as well as one flying base each, so you can have Peter and Tink float above the ground.
In addition to the two four-packs, Pan fans will be able to purchase the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook’s pirate ship. With doors that open and extending planks, the Jolly Roger has two removable and adjustable masts and comes with two exclusive figures: Wendy and Smee.
Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation, for a full range of poseability. The Peter Pan Minimates collection will be available exclusively at Disney Store beginning in early March.

The short examines the lives of Walt Disney’s fabled ‘Nine Old Men’ (the term referring to a book on the justices of the Supreme Court, not their ages): Les Clark, Marc Davis, Ollie Johnston, Milt Kahl, Ward Kimball, Eric Larson, John Lounsbery, Wolfgang Reitherman and Frank Thomas. Together, these animators were responsible for some of the most beloved films in the history of film, let alone animation and Disney.
To support the release of the blu-ray as well as the documentary, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released the following clips featuring the stories of Ward Kimball, Milt Kahl, Frank Thomas, John Lounsbery, Ollie Johnston, Les Clark and Wolfgang Reitherman as related by their children:

LIVING SOCIAL: ‘Peter Pan’ Screening and Special Panel in Los Angeles
For those that will be in the Hollywood, California area on the evening of Friday, January 11, Living Social and the El Capitan Theatre are now making tickets available to attend a special screening of Disney’s Peter Pan along with a special panel for just $11 per ticket.
Take flight for wonder and excitement with this offer: Pay $11 for one ticket to see Peter Pan playing at the El Capitan Theatre on January 11. Prior to the start of the movie, guests will be treated to a special panel discussion. This special panel discussion will be moderated by Leonard Maltin and will include conversations with Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy), Ted Thomas (son of legendary Disney animator Frank Thomas and director/writer of the acclaimed documentaries Frank and Ollie and Walt & El Grupo), and Margaret Kerry (live-action reference model for Tinker Bell). This classic tale taught us all ‘to believe,’ introducing us to the Darling children — Wendy, John and Michael — as they flew with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell past the second star to the right and straight on ’til morning to the enchanted world of Never Land.
Audiences will also be entertained with a never-before-seen episode of Disney Jr’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates, plus an appearance by Jake, live on stage!

Leonard Maltin to Moderate ‘Peter Pan’ Panel for Disney D23 Members; Limited National Screenings Announced
In honor of Peter Pan: Diamond Edition
Moderated by noted film critic/historian Leonard Maltin, the panel is set to include Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy), Ted Thomas (son of legendary Disney animator Frank Thomas and director/writer of the acclaimed documentaries Frank and Ollie and Walt & El Grupo) and Margaret Kerry (live-action reference model for Tinker Bell).
In addition, D23 members and their guests will also enjoy discounted VIP Orchestra Reserved Seating, a souvenir bucket of popcorn, and a 20-oz. bottled drink, a never-before-seen episode of ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’ and even an appearance by Jake himself, live on stage.
Tickets to the screening/panel are $19 (D23 members may purchase a total of 4 tickets each) and will be available beginning December 27 at 10 am PST. For more information and to purchase tickets when available, see the official event page.
In addition, Disney D23 will be offering free screenings (only) to Peter Pan in the following cities on January 24: Chicago, Orlando, New York City, Philadelphia and San Francisco. Tickets are free and will be available to reserve beginning January 7 at 1 pm ET/10 am PT.
