‘Phineas and Feb & You’ Virtual Experience to Debut at Walt Disney World for Limited Time
Starting this fall, Walt Disney World Resort guests will become the stars of ‘Phineas and Ferb & YOU: A Brand New Reality.’ The virtual experience will allow guests to play with animated characters from Disney’s Emmy Award-winning animated series ‘Phineas and Ferb.’ The fun happens at Downtown Disney West Side, next to Bongos Cuban Café from September 1 through December 1, 2012 from 2 pm – 9:30 pm daily.
How it works: As many three guests are invited to stand inside the virtual experience set, and out of 20 randomly pre-determined animation segments, Phineas and Ferb, Agent P or even Dr. Doofenshmirtz will magically appear to play and dance alongside them. It all happens in a virtual (on-screen) 30-second experience. But the fun doesn’t end there! Guests may visit a special website to download and share with family and friends a complimentary souvenir photo of their starring role. To complement this limited time engagement, special Phineas and Ferb merchandise will be available at a nearby merchandise stand.
For more Phineas and Ferb fun at the Walt Disney World Resort, guests may go undercover with Agent P—the alter ego of Perry the Platypus—on a fun-filled quest around World Showcase at Epcot or meet and greet Phineas and Ferb at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Perry the Platybus Hits the Road; ‘Where’s Perry?’ Special Airs July 26
Disney’s Emmy Award-winning “Phineas and Ferb,” TV’s #1 animated series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, will put the summer spotlight on the hugely popular character Perry the Platypus — in a two-part cliffhanger on TV and online in which the boys’ domesticated pet/secret agent really goes missing, and in a new “Where’s My Perry?” mobile game inspired by the award-winning “Where’s My Water?” game from Disney Mobile Games. The hit TV property also expands at retail with new grocery and footwear licensees, and via a grassroots initiative that invites fans to be part of the Perry the Platy-bus tour in select cities across the country.
On Thursday, June 28, Disney Mobile Games launched Where’s My Perry?, a new mobile game for iOS and Android that combines the comedy and characters from “Phineas and Ferb” with the gameplay of Disney’s hit mobile game, Where’s My Water?. The game challenges players to guide water across the levels of gameplay and includes the addition of several “Crazy-inators,” Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s inventions, which turn a body of water into steam, ice or liquid.
Beginning Friday, July 6, DisneyChannel.com will feature rotating Perry-themed experiences and activities, including a brand-new hidden object game, “Find Perry.” Starting Friday, July 27, an interactive map that geographically tracks the Platy-bus and allows users to upload their own “Perry Sightings” as he appears in various locales throughout the nation will be available. Select photos will be featured on-air and online.
In Disney Channel’s cliffhanger storyline, “Where’s Perry?, Part One” premiering THURSDAY, JULY 26 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT), Phineas and Ferb embark on an African safari vacation while their loyal pet platypus Perry stays back in Danville to handle a Dr. Doofenshmirtz emergency. As the story unfolds, Dr. Doofenshmirtz tries to take over the OWCA with his Ultimate Evil-inator, but it inadvertently zaps Carl the Intern, turning him evil. Several of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s “-inators” hit Perry, causing him to disappear and quickly prompting the question: where’s Perry? Meanwhile, in Africa, Candace frantically searches for a cell phone signal to get through to Jeremy back in Danville while Phineas and Ferb build a highly unconventional vehicle to explore an unchartered gorge. Guest starring are Vanessa Williams (ABC’s “666 Park Avenue”) as the flight attendant, Harold Perrineau (ABC’s “Lost”) as the Maître D and Edi Gathegi (“X Men: First Class”) as Iggy, the safari guide. Starring are: Vincent Martella (“Phineas”), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (“Ferb”), Ashley Tisdale (“Candace”), Alyson Stoner (“Isabella”), Caroline Rhea (“Linda”), Richard O’Brien (“Lawrence”), Dee Bradley Baker (“Perry”), Barry Bostwick (“Grandpa”), Mitchel Musso (“Jeremy”), Maulik Pancholy (“Baljeet”), Bobby Gaylor (“Buford”), Tyler Mann (“Carl the Intern”), Kelly Hu (“Stacy”), John Viener (“Norm”), Swampy Marsh (“Major Monogram”) and Dan Povenmire (“Dr. Doofenshmirtz”).
The episode will also be available on DisneyChannel.com, WATCH Disney Channel and iTunes following the linear premiere on Thursday, July 26.
The search for Perry continues with Disney’s cross-country Perry the Platy-bus tour. Along the way, fans can join the mission to bring Perry back home and, via Augmented Reality, can virtually interact with Phineas, Ferb and other characters. The tour will travel to state fairs and tourist destinations across the country this summer.
Fans can also join in on an interactive experience to assist Danville’s secret agent in defeating Dr. Doofenshmirtz in the newly launched “Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure” at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Perry’s fate will be revealed during “Where’s Perry?, Part Two” Friday, August 24 on Disney Channel.
“Phineas and Ferb” also expands at retail with new licensees introducing Ready Pac salads and refrigerated mini-meals, Crunch Pak Flavorz apple slices, Etnies sneakers and more this summer. “Phineas and Ferb” already has multiple successful brand extensions in books, comics, DVDs, action figures, apparel, accessories, grocery and health and beauty items. The property also inspired Disney Parks and Resorts’ live entertainment experience and Disney Theatrical Group’s live touring stage show.

REVIEW: ‘Where’s My Perry?’ by Disney Mobile
They’ve done it again! And by ‘they,’ I mean Disney Mobile’s Creature Feep, and by ‘done it again,’ I mean created something almost entirely new. Disney Mobile today launched ‘Where’s My Perry?‘ for Apple iOS and Android devices and the newest entry into the immensely popular ‘Where’s My Water?’ has already been garnering raves from fans of both Swampy the Gator and Disney Channel’s ‘Phineas and Ferb.’
While some of the mechanics are the same, keeping it true to the franchise, Disney has once again successfully introduced ample gameplay design changes to warrant being its own standalone game worth paying for. Whereas Swampy required water to take a bath and Cranky required poison to make his ‘food’ algae-free, the premise here is that Perry the Platypus /aka/ Agent P is needed by Major Monogram at the OWCA (Organization Without a Cool Acronym), but the tubes he usually uses to transport himself are jammed. The objective is to use water (and steam) to power the tubes to send Perry tube-surfing so he can save the world, or at least settle disputes between Major Monogram and Carl.
Dr. Doofenshmirtz has other things on his mind, however, and that’s to stop Perry the Platypus for the last time on each level. To do this, he has three -inators strategically placed throughout each level: the heat-inator, the freeze-inator and the celeberate-inator. The last is the easiest to explain since it just sucks up whatever it can and transforms it into a party (via confetti). The first two make up the core physics of the game, turning water into steam (and vice versa) and water into ice (and vice versa). So for example, if a heat-inator strikes ice, it turns it into water. If it strikes water again, it turns to steam, and the whole process can be reversed. In addition, there is a new liquid called sludge. Sludge has an amazingly high viscosity (much, much more than ooze) and it can be really tricky to work with. In addition, sludge, which is normally black and neutral, can be affected by -inators, making them have the same properties and effects when they touch water. Sludge can cover grates and while blue sludge and orange sludge affect water, as well as cause a explosion when they come in contact with each other, black sludge doesn’t interfere with regular water. Essentially the physics are pretty intense on this iteration of the genre and they often make the game far more fun and challenging to play.
Like ‘Where’s My Water?’ items are collected throughout the levels and they, in turn, unlock bonus levels. Here the items are OWCA files. Some are files on other members of the OWCA (or as some prefer to call it, ‘a petting zoo with hats’) and some are files on Dr. Doof’s -inators. All of the dossiers are taken from the ‘Phineas and Ferb’ series and offer up some good (and ‘brief’) reads. While Swampy’s bonus levels involved using the accelerometer to mimic the same gameplay, ‘Where’s My Perry?’ bonus levels involve guiding Balloony (from ‘The Chronicles of Meap’ and ‘Meapless in Seattle’) through a scrolling screen much like the balloon levels from ‘Where’s My Water?.’ After tri-gnoming the first four introductory levels, I started on the bonus levels and I have to say my first reaction was ‘what the heck?’ However, after playing a few more levels, my reaction completely changed to ‘no, really, what the heck?’ It just seemed so ridiculously easy and — for lack of a better word — dumb. My sentiments did change, however, as I progressed further through the bonus levels as it started to require using elements from the regular game to help Balloony reach the top without popping or being pushed off the edge of the screen. Add to this that the screen scrolls by itself, with or without Balloony, so it can be a challenge sometimes to coordinate everything just right.
Achievements also exist, but they’re pretty primitive right now and I managed to get most of them just from playing the game through the first time. I would expect that to change as more levels get introduced. Like the other games in the franchise, new levels are expected to be delivered in the future at no additional charge.
And, of course, there are other contributions from the television series. Voice talent recorded specifically for the game which interjects itself as you play (it can smartly be turned off if you — ahem — grow weary of Carl’s voice over and over), complete with sub-titles, which can sometimes get in the way of gameplay, but can also smartly be toggled on and off individually. Completing levels usually rewards the players with a little animated vignette which depicts Agent P’s arrival to the OWCA headquarters and, of course, lots of other tributes along the way.
All in all, as a well-documented fan of the franchise, I have to give ‘Where’s My Perry?’ two thumbs and a sore index finger up. Although it took only a couple of hours to get through it all, it was incredibly entertaining and I can’t wait for the next installment. ‘Where’s My Perry?’ is an instant classic five years in the making.
Disney’s ‘Where’s My Perry?’ is $.99 and available now for Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices via the App Store and should be available for Android devices shortly.

‘TRON: Uprising,’ ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ ‘Wander Over Yonder’ Panels at San Diego Comic-Con
Although it should be no surprise that Disney XD’s popular series ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con in 2012 as it has had a presence ever since before the show began, Variety is also reporting that new-comer ‘TRON: Uprising’ will have a featured panel along with a preview of ‘Wander Over Yonder’ from the prolific and successful husband-wife team of Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust.
According to the article, the ‘TRON: Uprising’ panel will consist of lead vocal talent Elijah Wood and co-star Bruce Boxleitner as well as executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
Thanks to @rwmead for the heads up.

CONFIRMED: ‘Where’s My Perry?’ Coming to Apple, Android Devices in June
At E3, Disney Interactive Studios has confirmed a Stitch Kingdom report from earlier this month that it would be releasing a spin-off of its popular ‘Where’s My Water?’ mobile game, featuring Perry the Platypus /aka/ Agent P from Disney XD’s ‘Phineas and Ferb.’
In ‘Where’s My Perry?,’ Perry is summoned into action by his boss, Major Monogram, but he gets trapped in the complicated network of tubes that typically lead him to the briefing room instead.
Using mechanics from the game that inspired it, the water streams are influenced by Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his ‘crazy-nators’ that can turn water into steam and ice on command.
‘Where’s My Perry?’ is expected to be available on the App Store for Apple iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad devices and Google Play for Android devices late this month.

E3: Disney to Announce ‘Where’s My Perry?’ ‘Where’s My Water?’ Spin-Off
With E3 just around the corner, if we could ask Disney Mobile just one question, it would be ‘whatcha doooooo-in?’ But if we could ask Disney Mobile two questions, the first would be ‘whatcha dooooo-in?’ and the second would be ‘Hey, Where’s My Perry?’
We’re pretty sure both questions (and a whole lot more) will be answered next week, whether we ask them or not, so we’ll just use our handy cutoutthemiddleman-inator and offer up some possible evidence that a ‘Where’s My Water?’ and ‘Phineas and Ferb’ cross-over is about to surface.
It all began innocently enough with a tweet, as it usually does.
To us, that would suggest that everyone’s favorite alligator Swampy has a trick or ’2′ up his sleeve (notice I put ’2′ in quotes to suggest it could possible allude to something — and now we’ve done it ‘23′ times).
On or about May 26, 2012 (but mostly on), Disney registered WHERESMYPERRY.COM, a clever play on both the ever Phineas catch-phrase (‘Hey, where’s Perry?’) and Swampy’s ‘Where’s My Water?’ but could it simply be coincidence? No. But in case you’re thinking it might be, just like #wheresmywater serves as the official Twitter hashtag for the popular mobile game, one might easily assume that #wheresmyperry would serve as the official hashtag for ‘Where’s My Perry?’ A recent search on the hashtag on Twitter has turned up many hits, all from a user named Andrew Jandas (@jandas1230), an account that appears to exist solely for letting SwampTheGator know his progress (or often lack thereof) in the game using its built-in tweet button.
Recently the account has been posting messages such as the following:
Although the content of the tweet is presumably still under development, the findings are hard to dispute. Linked in the tweet is a picture of a screen from ‘Where’s My Perry?’ featuring level pack, ‘Mission 1: An Agent I Can Trust’ in which the player has ‘tri-gnomed’ the level as opposed to tri-ducking in the original game. In addition, the tweet originates from a Twitter app called ‘WheresMyWater’ just as many of the actual game tweets do and reviewing the user’s twitpic timeline reveal several screens that look more like testing/debugging ones than final product, such as this one.
Only the details (and the game itself) remain to be seen. The tri-gnoming is likely to be an allusion to the second episode of ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ ‘Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror,’ in which Agent P/Perry the Platypus is tasked with recovering lawn gnomes stolen by Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, but whether that theme continues on or each level pack ties into a different episode remains to be seen.
In any case, when E3 rolls around next week, we look forward to the moment when we can finally say ‘”Where’s My Perry?,’” what an unexpected surprise! And by unexpected, we mean totally expected.’

‘Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure’ to Replace ‘Kim Possible’ at Epcot
The official Disney Parks blog confirmed earlier today that it will introduce the popular Disney Channel series ‘Phineas and Ferb’ to Epcot later this year when it replaces the also-popular ‘Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure’ with ‘Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure,’ starring Perry the Platypus’ alter-ego, Agent P.
The change was reported earlier this year by @TouringPlans on their Twitter, with an expected timeline of June (the Disney Parks blog mentions only summer as the transition time), but was recently confirmed by Walt Disney Parks Chairman Tom Staggs in an interview with Travel Weekly (via Jim Hill Media).
Earlier today at the 2012 annual shareholder’s meeting held in Kansas City, MO, Disney President and CEO Robert Iger made note during the question and answer session that the company is looking at ways to integrate boy-favored properties into the Disney Parks, noting ‘Phineas and Ferb’ especially. Currently the title pair operate as meet & greet opportunities at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.
