They’ve done it again! And by ‘they,’ I mean Disney Mobile’s Creature Feep, and by ‘done it again,’ I mean created something almost entirely new. Disney Mobile today launched ‘Where’s My Perry?‘ for Apple iOS and Android devices and the newest entry into the immensely popular ‘Where’s My Water?’ has already been garnering raves from fans of both Swampy the Gator and Disney Channel’s ‘Phineas and Ferb.’
Although it should be no surprise that Disney XD’s popular series ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con in 2012 as it has had a presence ever since before the show began, Variety is also reporting that new-comer ‘TRON: Uprising’ will have a featured panel along with a preview of ‘Wander Over Yonder’ from the prolific and successful husband-wife team of Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust.
According to the article, the ‘TRON: Uprising’ panel will consist of lead vocal talent Elijah Wood and co-star Bruce Boxleitner as well as executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
At E3, Disney Interactive Studios has confirmed a Stitch Kingdom report from earlier this month that it would be releasing a spin-off of its popular ‘Where’s My Water?’ mobile game, featuring Perry the Platypus /aka/ Agent P from Disney XD’s ‘Phineas and Ferb.’
In ‘Where’s My Perry?,’ Perry is summoned into action by his boss, Major Monogram, but he gets trapped in the complicated network of tubes that typically lead him to the briefing room instead.
Using mechanics from the game that inspired it, the water streams are influenced by Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his ‘crazy-nators’ that can turn water into steam and ice on command.
With E3 just around the corner, if we could ask Disney Mobile just one question, it would be ‘whatcha doooooo-in?’ But if we could ask Disney Mobile two questions, the first would be ‘whatcha dooooo-in?’ and the second would be ‘Hey, Where’s My Perry?’
We’re pretty sure both questions (and a whole lot more) will be answered next week, whether we ask them or not, so we’ll just use our handy cutoutthemiddleman-inator and offer up some possible evidence that a ‘Where’s My Water?’ and ‘Phineas and Ferb’ cross-over is about to surface.
It all began innocently enough with a tweet, as it usually does.
The official Disney Parks blog confirmed earlier today that it will introduce the popular Disney Channel series ‘Phineas and Ferb’ to Epcot later this year when it replaces the also-popular ‘Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure’ with ‘Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure,’ starring Perry the Platypus’ alter-ego, Agent P.
The change was reported earlier this year by @TouringPlans on their Twitter, with an expected timeline of June (the Disney Parks blog mentions only summer as the transition time), but was recently confirmed by Walt Disney Parks Chairman Tom Staggs in an interview with Travel Weekly (via Jim Hill Media).
What an unexpected surprise! And by unexpected, I mean completely expected! Okay, not really. Disney Interactive Studios today announced that Danville and several of its citizens are now available as a Downloadable Content (DLC) package for ‘Disney Universe’ on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
Players can now suit up as Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Agent P or Dr. Doofenshmirtz and explore Danville using all new gadgets such as the Chick-Inator which can turn players into chickens in order to access small spaces, while the Atomic Leaf Blow-Inator will allow them to blow away piles of leaves to reveal collectibles and more as they advance through the neighborhood avoiding traps and hazards. The level will culminate as players battle Dr. Doofenshmirtz in an epic showdown to bring down his blimp and save a trapped passenger.
Disney’s hugely popular duck-billed, beaver-tailed, teal-colored character Perry the Platypus, as seen on “Phineas and Ferb,” the #1 animated series for kids and tweens, will be the main attraction on Platypus Day, Saturday, March 3. The celebration includes the introduction of “The Platypus Walk,” a catchy spy-surf-rock song and dance designed to encourage fun physical activity as part of Disney’s commitment to inspire kids and families to lead active lifestyles. The day also includes 11 hours of “Phineas and Ferb” programming including two new Perry-focused episodes on Disney Channel and Disney XD, an interactive website dedicated to Perry the Platypus, a fun giveaway and special Platypus Takeover at all Disney Stores in the U.S. & Canada and events via local Radio Disney stations across the nation.
Disney recently released ‘Disney Pix,’ its free software for its new AppClix iPad ‘appcessory.’ Manufactured by Vivitar, the AppClix effectively replaces Disney’s previous lines of licensed PIX digital cameras. In addition to being able to plug directly into the iPad to download and share photos, the AppClix boasts a 7MP camera, which is an impressive milestone for what is basically being marketed as a toy.
In just a few days, the all new Halloween episode of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will premiere on Disney Channel and we have two new clips to share!
Our first clip is from ‘That’s the Spirit!,’ where it’s Halloween night and the kids encounter a strange boy and his father who are convinced their house is haunted. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s disdain for grass causes him to invent a ‘mind-transfer-inator’ enabling him to merge minds with a cow and destroy all the grass in the Tri-State Area. Unfortunately, his plan backfires and he transforms into a scary ‘were-cow’ that wreaks havoc any time there is a full moon. It’s now up to Agent P to stop him and save Danville. Guest starring are Michael Douglas and real-life son Dylan Douglas, as father and son residents of the haunted house.
Halloween is rapidly approaching and it’s high time Phineas and Ferb meet their match and this time, the supernatural foes are out for blood — true blood. It’s all treats and no trick as the Disney Channel favorite stuffs its bag full of celebrity guest stars on the extra spooky episode which debuts Friday, October 7 at 7:00 pm ET on Disney Channel.
