We received another gift from Walt Disney Studios today — we are pleased to present a hi-res version of a recently released still from the upcoming Disney/Pixar release, Toy Story 3. In honor of this historic event, we have managed to keep the image in its full, original size which you can view by clicking on the smaller image below, then on the resize arrows located on the lower-right of the image. Enjoy!
Burbank, CA (Friday, December 18, 2009) — In its world broadcast premiere, ABC Family will give fans their very first opportunity to see a sneak peek from Disney?Pixar’s highly anticipated upcoming film, Toy Story 3. Woody and Buzz Lightyear return in this exclusive first-look, which debuts during the network’s telecast of The Incredibles this Sunday night, December 20, (8:30-11:00PM ET/PT) on ABC Family as part of the network’s 25 Days of Christmas Disney/Pixar Weekend television event.
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18, 2009 — IMAX Corporation and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures today announced that Toy Story 3, the third installment of the blockbuster hit franchise Toy Story, will be released to IMAX(R) 3D theatres simultaneously with its wide release on June 18, 2010. Toy Story 3 will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) with proprietary IMAX DMR(R) (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
Although no formal press release from WDSHE has been released, DisneyStore.com has made Toy Story and Toy Story 2 available for pre-order today for a release date of March 23, 2010. The two titles are sold separately in both DVD only ($22) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Packs ($30).
Not surprisingly, 3D doesn’t appear to be on the menu for the release (as was the case with UP), but here’s a glimpse of some of the reported extras for each disc:
The newest set of PVC collectibles from Square Enix pay homage to five Disney/Pixar films. Miniature scenes atop a Pixar base detail characters from CARS, Ratatouille, Wall-E, UP and Toy Story. Now available for pre-order from several online sites, the set retails for 6,000 yen (about $67).
So as all my clocks automatically adjusted themselves this past weekend as I soundly slept, I got to thinking (or might have, had I been awake) and reminiscing about the good old days. Back when UP was the newest movie from Pixar and 3D movies cost just $20 and I had to take a taxi cab to see them in the snow uphill — both ways.
If you share my thoughts and the haunting melody of the timeless classic ‘Party in the USA’ by Miley Cyrus is seeping into your head as we speak, then this is the post for you.

In case you’ve missed it. Although you really should see it on the big screen in 3D alongside the recently-extended double feature Toy Story & Toy Story 2 in 3D, here it is. Enjoy:
With love from Walt Disney Studios and Disney/Pixar, here’s the entire collection of recently released Toy Story 3 teaser posters, each (save for one) featuring a different character (Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky and Rex). I must confess that Disney sent them to us as 6 MegaPixels each and the detail is amazing. We had to shrink them down a bit to get them to fit into the blog, but you can still catch some of the amazing detail and textures, particularly on Woody, where you can see where the vinyl of his hat has been subject to a lot of wear and tear and love.
