Beginning October 5 and through November 22, guests with a valid adult theme park admission can visit one of several retail locations within the parks and obtain a coupon good for up to $8 off the price of a child’s movie ticket when purchased with an adult movie ticket to view Disney’s The Princess and the Frog through December 31.
The participating retail locations are as follows:
Magic Kingdom: The Emporium, Main Street Confectionery, Main Street Cinema, Town Square Exposition Hall, Uptown Jewelers, Cornelius Coot’s County Bounty
Epcot: Mouse Gear, Gateway Gifts, Epcot Camera Center, World Traveler, Port of Entry, Disney Traders
Just a few days ago, Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter found some time to squeeze in a game of The Princess and the Frog for the Nintendo Wii while at Odeon Leicester Square in London. Due out in November, the game will also be available on the Nintendo DS. See here for more details on the upcoming release.

ROME (Hollywood Reporter/Reuters) – “Star Wars” creator George Lucas will make his first trip to the Venice Film Festival to present the Golden Lion award for lifetime achievement to John Lasseter and the directors of Disney-Pixar, festival organizers said Thursday.
The presentation, which will take place September 6 in the Palazzo del Cinema’s Sala Grande, will be held in conjunction with screenings of new 3D version of “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2.” Lasseter directed both films. The evening also will include the premiere of a 10-minute clip from “The Princess and the Frog,” Disney’s return to hand-drawn animation, and the screening of a new sequence from the in-production project “Toy Story 3.”

Disney On Ice presents Celebrations! kicks off this fall as Feld Entertainment’s newest ice production featuring a magical montage of Disney characters celebrating holidays and festivals from around the world. Launching September 2009, Disney On Ice presents Celebrations! will be the first time audiences see Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen, live on ice, from the upcoming film, Walt Disney Pictures’ The Princess and the Frog, opening November 25, 2009, in New York and Los Angeles, and nationwide on December 11.
Classic and contemporary Disney songs, an original storyline, brilliant costumes and high energy action will have audiences celebrating some of the world’s most popular events right in their hometown — from Halloween with the Disney Villains, to a Valentine’s Day Royal Ball, featuring the Disney Princesses. In a fun-packed, ice extravaganza, more than 50 characters from 16 Disney stories will converge and take audiences on a thrilling world tour to exotic destinations like Brazil for a Carnivale parade, Hawaii for a luau party and Japan for a Cherry Blossom festival.

These are from her appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention that took place earlier this month in Tampa, Florida.
When she appears in the parks, Tiana will be joined by Naveen and Dr. Facilier.

From November 6 through January 3, guests at Disneyland will be treated to performances of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! featuring songs and music from Walt Disney Picture”s newest animated classic, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana, Naveen and Dr. Facilier will all be aboard the colorful, vibrant riverboat extravaganza.
UPDATE: After receiving additional reports from multiple sources, it appears the show will also take place aboard the Liberty Belle in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland. That show is expected to begin October 26.
