Yet another entry in the Disney’s Tangled character profile video series this way comes, and (yet again), the first one we’d like to share with you isn’t in English. Courtesy of Walt Disney Studios Italy comes this look at Mommy Dearest herself, Rapunzel’s very own Mother Gothel (as voiced by Donna Murphy (at least the English version anyway)).
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the next in a series of video montages featuring the stars of its upcoming release Disney’s Tangled. This time around, the subject is none other than the jewel of the King’s army, the heroic steed Maximus.
Disney’s Tangled stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy and opens nationwide on November 24. Walt Disney Animation Studios has released yet another of the character profile montage of clips from Disney’s Tangled, this one focusing on the villains of the Snuggly Duckling.
Update: Replaced with English version from Walt Disney Animation Studios
Although their permanent ‘play and greet’ environment isn’t yet completed at Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden, as we previously reported, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled began making appearances today at Epcot.
Although we initially reported that they would be appearing at the International Gateway, we learned the hard way that the location may vary and in fact found the couple outside of the World Showplace, situated between the Canada and UK Pavilions. This is one of three locations used in Epcot to test out new characters and their friends, the others being the International Gateway and the area to the left of the American Adventure.
Walt Disney Studios has provided is with four new hi-res stills from Disney’s Tangled from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the company’s 50th animated film. The stills appear to be a follow up from yesterday’s release of the 90 second promo, titled Surprise.
We reported earlier that the in-park appearance of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled, initially scheduled to begin on October 15 at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom had been postponed until October 25.
Yesterday, however, Cast Member-run WDW Character Hunt stated that the pair would in fact be making appearances starting on October 15, only at Epcot’s International Gateway instead at non-published, ‘random’ times. The duo will only be making appearances and will not be participating in any of the interactive elements expected to occur when the makeover-in-progress at Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden is complete.
Yesterday we brought you a series of clips from Disney’s Tangled which focused on thief (and perhaps hero) Flynn Rider which featured clips from the film not yet released. As we also reported, the series continues today, this time focusing on Rapunzel, voiced by Mandy Moore. It contains plenty of eye candy in the form of never-before-seen footage from the film, most particularly highlighting Rapunzel’s day to day activities.
Update 10/08/10 – Replaced Italian version with English version from Walt Disney Animation Studios
The so-called ‘Play and Greet’ featuring Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is now being reported to be postponed from its original start date of October 15 until October 25.
This was confirmed by cast member extraordinaire and consistently accurate source Paul Chadkin via twitter.
Update 10/12/10 – Rapunzel and Flynn Rider will begin meeting and greeting guests (without ‘play’ elements) on October 15 as originally scheduled, but at the International Gateway in Epcot
I was invited to a press event late this afternoon in New York City at which Walt Disney Studios screened Tangled in its semi-current unfinished format as well as a 20+ minute compilation of various scenes from TRON: Legacy, not unlike those recently held in Burbank. The event was hosted by Studios production head Sean Bailey who opened the presentation by presenting a 30 second tv spot for Secretariat, reminding us all that the movie opens on Friday.
