On October 28, 2014, Disney Editions will release Disney During World War II: How the Walt Disney Studio Contributed to Victory in the War by John Baxter, only the second book of its kind to have ever been published on the subject. The publisher’s description is as follows:
On October 7, 2014, Disney Editions will release Marc Davis: Walt Disney’s Renaissance Man, a 208 page hardcover volume that details the contributions of one of The Walt Disney Company’s most influential artists as written by some of the company’s most influential artists. On the day its new Disney Junior series, ‘Sofia the First,’ launches, Disney has also released Sofia the First: Story Theater for Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices.
The app contains two modes: the first is an interactive storybook, a retelling of the Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess movie which is narrated by Sofia (Ariel Winter) and features audio clips from the movie as well as dozens of individual animations.
They are the ultimate stocking stuffer but sadly they won’t be available to own until January 2013. Nevertheless, Entertainment Earth is now accepting pre-orders for the new lines of Funko POP! 3D Bookmarks featuring Disney and Marvel favorites. Building on the incredible success of the POP! vinyl figure lines, Funko is now expanding its selections to include several of the Disney favorites along with some of Marvel’s greatest heroes, combining the forces of the greatest worlds in entertainment with the wonderful world of reading.
