In an exquisite, top-deck restaurant with incredible ocean views, Disney Cruise Line debuts Remy – its first-ever premier dining option. With French-inspired, gourmet cuisine by two award-winning chefs, Remy melds classic and contemporary styles in a sophisticated new dining concept exclusively for adults on the Disney Dream.
Chef Arnaud Lallement from l’Assiette Champenoise, a Michelin two-star restaurant just outside Reims, France, and Chef Scott Hunnel from award-winning Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World Resort, are collaborating to create a French-inspired menu featuring superior products and seasonal ingredients sourced from around the world.
Master Pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek of Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World Resort and Chef Mattieu Gerard Siegrist of l’Assiette Champenoise will lend their talents to create Remy’s savory breads and delectable dessert offerings.
French-trained Chef Patrick Albert, executive chef for Remy, oversees an all-star culinary team that will provide guests with a superb experience and epicurean excellence each day aboard the ship.
“Remy, a first-of-its-kind onboard experience, takes Disney Cruise Line dining to new heights,” said Ozer Balli, vice president, Disney Cruise Line Hotel Operations. “The extraordinary success of Palo on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder encouraged us to create this elegant, upscale and even more intimate dining experience for the Disney Dream.”
The newest set of PVC collectibles from Square Enix pay homage to five Disney/Pixar films. Miniature scenes atop a Pixar base detail characters from CARS, Ratatouille, Wall-E, UP and Toy Story. Now available for pre-order from several online sites, the set retails for 6,000 yen (about $67).

Initially scheduled to perform at Les Chefs de France through September 5, the Walt Disney World Resort is set to cast additional escorts for the Living Character Initiative Remy, who entertains diners throughout lunch and dinner, in late August. The position makes no mention of the job taking them elsewhere so it would seem a tad bit odd to hire someone for just a couple of days when all is said and done.
The newest chef at Walt Disney World Resort may be small in stature, but he’s a big hit with guests enjoying haute cuisine at Les Chefs de France in Epcot. With his flair for French fare, diners of all ages are eating up his whimsical tableside visits.
His name is Remy, and he’s the rat-turned-chef made famous in the Academy Award-winning Disney•Pixar film “Ratatouille.” A new Audio-Animatronicscharacter created by Walt Disney Imagineering, Remy stars in a new guest experience at Les Chefs de France entitled “Bon Appétit from Chef Remy.” Les Chefs de France is one of the restaurants featured at the France pavilion in Epcot.
THE BIG CHEESE: Famed French Chef Paul Bocuse introduces his grandson — also named Paul Bocuse — to a new Audio-Animatronics figure named “Remy” April 3, 2009 at Les Chefs de France restaurant at Epcot in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Remy, made famous in Disney’s Academy Award-winning animated film “Ratatouille,” is featured at the restaurant in a new guest experience called “Bon Appetit from Chef Remy.” The Audio-Animatronics figure — the smallest ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering — interacts with diners inside the restaurant. Through Sept. 5, Remy will make appearances in the dining room during specific times.
The action hero superstar of Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille, Remy, currently appears in amatronic form at Les Chefs De France located in Epcot’s World Showcase. He made his debut March 8 and is expected to hang around the kitchen for at least six months. Remy, the not-so-silent fourth partner in the restaurant, greets his guests daily at lunch until approximately 6 pm.
