Playhouse Disney’s #1 preschool series, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” celebrates Pluto with a marathon spotlighting Mickey’s loyal pal, SATURDAY, AUG. 29 (7:00–10:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The marathon includes the premiere of a new episode, “Pluto’s Playmate” (9:00 a.m., ET/PT), which was inspired by the original 1941 Pluto cartoon of the same name featuring Salty the seal.

In “Pluto’s Playmate,” Mickey, Pluto and pals teach Clubhouse visitor Salty the seal some new tricks for his debut in Mickey’s Circus. The marathon schedule is:

7:00 a.m. ET/PT            ”Pluto to the Rescue!”
7:30 a.m. ET/PT             ”Pluto’s Puppy-Sitting Adventure”
8:00 a.m. ET/PT             ”Pluto’s Ball”
8:30 a.m. ET/PT             ”Pluto’s Best”
9:00 a.m. ET/PT             ”Pluto’s Playmate”
9:30 a.m. ET/PT             ”Pluto’s Bubble Bath”

“Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” regularly airs weekdays at 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. ET/PT, and weekends at 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. ET/PT.

Mickey’s beloved pal Pluto made his film debut in 1930 as a nameless bloodhound in “The Chain Gang.” Later that year he played Minnie’s dog, Rover, in “The Picnic.” He was officially known as Mickey’s dog, Pluto, in “The Moose Hunt” (1931). Pluto starred alongside Mickey in numerous shorts, including the Academy Award-winning “Lend a Paw” (1941), and later teamed with Donald Duck on a number of shorts. Pluto made his feature film debut in 1988′s “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”
