It has just been confirmed that recording sensation Demi Lovato has recorded ‘Let it Go’ to be featured on the upcoming original motion picture soundtrack for Frozen from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The song is performed in the film by Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel).

Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided us high-resolution versions of newly released stills, concept art and character posters for its upcoming animated film, Frozen (November 27, 2013). In addition, we have received a new still and character model sheets for the Disney animated short Get A Horse! which will play before the film in theaters. El Capitan Theatre moviegoers will kick off holiday celebrations early with an exclusive advance engagement of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, beginning five days before the film’s nationwide release. El Capitan is frozen over this holiday season, welcoming guests into a snow-covered wonderland — complete with ice-capped opera boxes and a flurry of snowflakes. Frozen showings, which will run Nov. 22, 2013, to Jan. 5, 2014, will be preceded by ice carving performance artists on stage, as well as Frozen characters Anna and Elsa in their first live-on-stage appearances.
We have previously shared news that the original motion picture soundtrack for Disney’s upcoming animated film, Frozen, would be a two disc set, featuring an original score composed by Christophe Beck with new songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Up until now, however, other than previously announced details such as Elsa’s ‘Let it Go’ (performed by Idina Menzel) and Olaf’s ‘In the Summer’ (performed by Josh Gad) along with a supposed leaked track list, there has been very little in the way of additional details.

The audition will take place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Rehearsal Facility at the Walt Disney World Resort on Sunday, August 18, 2013 beginning at 9:00 AM with a second session beginning at 7:00 PM. Cautioning that performers should be available to begin work within the next four weeks, giving the impression that formal meet and greets may start as early as September, the advertisement suggests only those local to central Florida should consider applying.
