Two years ago, ‘Gravity Falls’ made its San Diego Comic-Con debut. Then a fledgling animated series with just a few episodes aired, the series was intended to be spotlighted along with a few other Disney Television Animation (DTVA) shows in the panel held in a relatively small room. Much to everyone’s surprise — especially the series’ creator, Alex Hirsch, however, it was already a breakout hit with the fans and Stitch Kingdom is pleased to be able to say we were there (you can read the full report here). Fast forward to 2014 and ‘Gravity Falls’ was featured in its own panel, easily playing to a much larger, standing room only crowd.
At the Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) booth from Disney Consumer Products at San Diego Comic-Con, attendees are able to preview much of the upcoming toy line from Bandai that will be available at mass market retailers beginning in September. Among the items, however, are also a sneak peek at upcoming Vinylmation figures based on the titular characters from the film, to be available exclusively at Disney Store.
Just ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, Sony and Disney Interactive have revealed the first look and additional details for their exclusive ‘Disney Infinity 2.0′ Collector’s Edition for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 as well as a PlayStation 3 bundle.
Although no official announcement has yet to be made by Disney Publishing Worldwide, if previous plans are in tact, Stan Lee’s graphic novel, The Zodiac Chronicles (January 27, 2015, available for pre-order) should have a presence at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to the availability of advanced reader copies (ARCs) of the title at Disney Publishing’s booth #929, a free eBook prequel is also expected to launch just in time for the convention. The title may also be teased during Disney Publishing Worldwide’s panel on Sunday at 12:30 pm in room 8.
As part of the third annual ‘Sweet Suite’ event held last night in New York City, I once again had the distinct pleasure to meet with ‘Disney Infinity’ executive producer John Vignocchi as I got a second recent look at the upcoming ‘Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition’ title on the PS4 on an even newer build than the one I saw last month. Unfortunately I didn’t get any actual hands-on with the game this time around as the build is so recent, it contained items not yet officially announced so there’s nothing I can share in terms of that other than to prepare you to hold on to your seats firmly, especially as San Diego Comic-Con hits us next week.

The ‘First Edition Baymax’ will come in exclusive premium packaging and be available only at Disney‘s Big Hero 6 booth (#3635A). We will provide more information as it becomes available to us.
Though you’d be hard-pressed to find someone inside the Disney fan community today who doesn’t know of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, you don’t have to go very far outside of it or back in time to find many who don’t. Created by Walt Disney under contract for Universal Studios in 1927, Oswald was an instant and phenomenal success, but when Walt was kicked to the curb, Mickey Mouse would emerge a year later and after a bit of struggling of his own, Oswald was condemned to oblivion for decades.
