Pyramid International Introduces Clever Disney Princess Pens in the UK
Even though they’re being released in the UK (save for any importers who bring them over to this side of the pond), we just couldn’t resist mentioning these brand new Disney Princess pens from Pyramid International. Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White and Belle combine both form and function in these full body pens. And just that little something extra, the pens also feature a feathery dress as the perfect writing utensil accent for a budding princess.

Sneak Peek: Miniature Train Garden at Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival
Many Walt Disney World Resort guests are familiar with the miniature train garden located outside the Germany pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. But we’re willing to bet a much smaller number of them realize that the garden is actually specially decorated for holiday seasons and festivals going on inside the park. Today, Walt Disney World released this photo showing horticulturist Julia Clark working on the garden for this year’s International Flower and Garden Festival which kicks off March 3 and shows off one of the neatest feature of this year’s decor: miniature horticulturists working on a dollhouse-size topiary of Snow White. ‘Disney Underground’ Paints Classic Disney Characters in Whole New Light
I just came across this collection available from Acme Archives titled Disney Underground. The collection allows artists to offer what’s described as an ‘abstract pop surrealism’ effect to classic Disney characters, including the fab five.
Pictured to the left is Porcelain by artist Steven Daily (you decide who it’s meant to be as the artist claims any likenesses are coincidental). The giclee on canvas is limited to 100 pieces, hand-numbered and signed by the artist. It measures 19″ x 24″ and is available unframed for $250 (framing and other options available).
Kirstie Kelly Unveils Bridal Wear Inspired by Princess Tiana, Snow White at New York’s Bridal Week
NEW YORK – October 18, 2009—Disney Consumer Products (DCP) and renowned couture designer Kirstie Kelly are launching an exquisite gown inspired by Princess Tiana, Disney’s newest princess in more than ten years and the first African American Disney Princess character from the highly anticipated animated musical film, The Princess and the Frog. The Tiana gown will take its place in the phenomenally successful Kirstie Kelly for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings line as the signature piece of an all new collection of bridal gowns. The new collection also includes the Snow White Diamond Edition gown, all new “Maidens” for bridesmaids, “Blossoms” for flower girls and a new line of fine jewelry with renowned jeweler Mouawad, each inspired by a Disney Princess character.
New Bridal Gowns from Kirstie Kelly Inspired by Tiana, Snow White
Adding to her established collection of Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, designer Kirstie Kelly will soon be adding new dresses inspired by Tiana from The Princess and the Frog and an all-new Snow White dress inspired by the Disney Diamond Edition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
In the photo to the left, Kelly (pictured) publicly debuts her sketch for the Tiana-inspired dress to visitors at Disney’s D23 Expo which took place last month.
The new Snow White dress will be unveiled on the runway later this year, but Brides.com has an exclusive first look at the new dress which you can see here.
iPhone App Review: Disney’s Magic Mirror
Title: Disney’s Magic Mirror (link)
Publisher: Walt Disney
Released: October 5, 2009
Cost: $.99
iTouch?: Yes, limited functionality
Pros: Sort-of cute app for the Snow White-diehard to share with friends
Cons: More ad than content, not much of either for the price
Review: This is a Snow White-ized version of the classic Magic 8-Ball App. Ask it a yes/no question and it does its best to reply. So I simply asked it whether or not people should buy it and this was its actual response:
alone in the dark
the world is still
despite my best efforts
I do not know its will
