REPORT: ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season One on Blu-ray in September

'Star Wars Rebels'Ahead of any official announcement, Amazon has begun listing the first season of ‘Star Wars Rebels’ for release on both DVD and Blu-ray on September 1, 2015, which puts it well behind the launch date of season two, which will be June 20.

The entries lack descriptions, so there is no hint at any potential bonus features, but they do report a running time of 450 minutes which appears to be 2 hours longer than the combined length of the first season, including ‘Spark of Rebellion.’ Even account for the introductory shorts, there seems to be a substantial amount of previously unreleased content to be expected.

We have learned earlier today that as part of the promotion for the film, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm registered a domain name for the film titled PlanetJakku.com. At this time, the site is dormant but Abrams teased that we may be learning more about the location very soon, so it is likely the site will be turned into a viral marketing website.
