In honor of the second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015), Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have provided us with hi-res stills from the feature. You can find the newly released stills in our gallery below, but what’s especially awesome to note is that some of the stills appear as both their cropped film ratio as well as both IMAX and 4K formats which show even more of the background.

Today at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, California, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015) director JJ Abrams announced that one of the settings for the film will not be Tatooine has others have suspected, but a new location known as Jakku.
We have learned earlier today that as part of the promotion for the film, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm registered a domain name for the film titled PlanetJakku.com. At this time, the site is dormant but Abrams teased that we may be learning more about the location very soon, so it is likely the site will be turned into a viral marketing website.

Even if you aren’t a fan of Disney, there is probably little doubt you’ve heard some of the news coming out of the annual shareholder meeting that was held earlier today at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco: a Frozen 2 sequel is in the works and Star Wars: Rogue One is headed to a galaxy near you in 2016.
And then there are the parts you didn’t get to hear and see, the clips — unless, of course, you were in the at-capacity audience. Fortunately, I was one of them and I am about to detail (to the best of my memory) what I heard and saw when the live stream was blocked.
