Exciting new experiences await Disney Dream guests after spaces throughout the Disney Cruise Line vessel are transformed this fall. Headlining the enhancements are two new interactive youth areas, one themed to Star Wars and another to Disney Infinity. Also a whimsical sweet shop serving handmade gelato and the ever-popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will debut after the Disney Dream undergoes dry dock Oct. 4-24, 2015, in Freeport, Bahamas.
In honor of the second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015), Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have provided us with hi-res stills from the feature. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.
Today at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, California, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015) director JJ Abrams announced that one of the settings for the film will not be Tatooine has others have suspected, but a new location known as Jakku.
We have learned earlier today that as part of the promotion for the film, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm registered a domain name for the film titled PlanetJakku.com. At this time, the site is dormant but Abrams teased that we may be learning more about the location very soon, so it is likely the site will be turned into a viral marketing website.
The Walt Disney Company and the IMAX Corporation today announced that their exhibition agreement has been extended through 2017 and includes films from Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Pixar Animation Studios.

As anticipation builds for the December release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first new film in the Star Wars Saga in a decade, The Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and 20th Century Fox today announced the upcoming release of ‘The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection.’ For the first time ever, all six epic films in the Saga, from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi, will be available on Digital HD throughout the galaxy – or at least here on Earth – globally beginning Friday, April 10.
