‘Big Hero 6,’ ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot,’ ‘Wander Over Yonder’ Strong in Annie Award Nominations

Nominations for the 42nd Annual Annie Awards were announced earlier today, honoring the best animation in film, television, video games and beyond for the previous year. The Walt Disney Company made a strong showing, as one might expect, with Big Hero 6 and ‘Disney’s Mickey Mouse’ cartoons, but Craig McCracken’s ‘Wonder Over Yonder’ on Disney XD is also respectable in its showing, while new series ‘Star Wars Rebels’ struggled to make an impact with just one nomination, as did ‘Sofia the First’ which failed to show at all.

‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ Title Treatment in Ultra High Resolution

Star Wars: The Force AwakensIn addition to news on Toy Story 4 and the mysterious Strange Magic, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm also caused a near meltdown today when they casually announced that Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015) had completed principal photography (and oh! it has a subtitle too, we guess).

To commemorate the neo-historic event, a title treatment for the film was also revealed. Through a few mindtricks of our own, we managed to get our hands on an ultra high res version of the title treatment (20+ megapixels in fact) and are presenting it here to you in its full glory. Fortunately most of it is space and as it turns out, space compresses pretty well, so we didn’t have to reduce it to get it here.
