The Oriental Land Company, owners and operators of the Tokyo Disney Resort, have announced several special upcoming operational additions in order to support the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015).
Beginning December 1, 2015, new merchandise themed to the film will be sold at the Resort. Starting in mid-December, eTickets printed at home will sport Star Wars-inspired designs and beginning December 18, R2D2-themed popcorn buckets will go on sale.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Inspired by the original Star Wars posters by Drew Struzan, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm unveiled the final poster for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens which they have no provided us in high resolution as seen here.
In addition to the poster reveal, it was announced that the first full-length trailer will debut tomorrow evening on ESPN during ‘Monday Night Football.’ The trailer is expected to air during half-time of the game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia, which starts at 8:15 ET. A Spanish-language trailer will be shown at the same time on ESPN Deportes.
Hallmark has recently released its 2016 Itty Bittys checklist (PDF), featuring all the existing open edition plush plus upcoming releases from existing and new licenses as well as more generic sports, occupation and events Itty Bittys.
On the Disney front, Mickey, Minnie and Ariel will be introduced in the new Biggys side, joining Anna, Elsa and Olaf. Limited edition Easter plush featuring Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore decked out for the holiday will also be released. In February, Hallmark will release a 25th anniversary Beauty and the Beast 2-pack featuring Belle (in her provincial attire) and Beast. Also set to be introduced in February are Mulan and Tiana (available separately). The new Clippys line which features miniature Itty Bittys with a backpack clip will feature Mickey & Pluto, Minnie & Daisy, Ariel & Flounder and Elsa & Anna.

As it completes its debut run at the EMP Museum in Seattle, Discovery Times Square in New York City has quietly announced it will play host to the ‘Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars and the Power of Costume,’ exhibition, a display of 60 costumes from the iconic Star Wars anthology of films. Discovery Times Square will be the second of twelve museums to host to the touring exhibit.
After launching and maintaining its Marvel-specific Collectors Corps subscription program, Funko has announced its debut of a Star Wars specific program, titled ‘Smugglers Bounty,’ which is now accepting orders for its November launch at SmugglersBounty.com.
The annual program will consist of bi-monthly packages (6 per year) and is available on both an annual subscription ($150) as well as per-shipment subscription ($25). Each box promises $50 in value of exclusive Star Wars and Funko merchandise. Like with the Collectors Corp, those signing up for the annual program will receive an exclusive gift.
